-Ratings Breakdown:
It was an easy overnight Sunday victory for NBC with the New York Giants at Dallas at an estimated 16.0 rating/24 share from 8:30-11:30 p.m. This will easily translate into well over 20-million viewers. Here is the half-hour breakdown (including the 11 p.m. half-hour):

Sunday Night Football (NBC)
8:30 p.m.: 15.4/23 (#1)
9:00 p.m.: 16.6/24 (#1)
9:30 p.m.: 16.8/25 (#1)
10:00 p.m.: 15.2/23 (#1)
10:30 p.m.: 15.9/25 (#1)
11:00 p.m.: 16.1/28 (#1)

Earlier in the evening, Football Night in American on NBC fared as follows:

Football Night in America (NBC)
7:00 p.m.: 2.7/ 4 (#4)
7:30 p.m.: 5.4/ 9 (#2)
8:00 p.m.: 9.6/15 (#2)

Over at CBS, granddaddy 60 Minutes (#1: 11.0/18 at 7 p.m.) led into the season-finale of The Amazing Race at an above-average 9.2/14 (#2) at 8 p.m. As a reminder, Undercover Boss opens season three in the Sunday 8 p.m. hour on Jan. 15 in place of The Amazing Race, which will also return at a later time for its next edition. At 9 p.m., older-skewing The Good Wife benefited minus ABC’s Desperate Housewives in the competitive mix with a second-place 8.1/12 in the overnights, followed by long-running CSI: Miami at an also better-than-usual 8.0/13 (#2) at 10 p.m. For more on CSI: Miami, see Cable section.

Elsewhere, ABC took a hit last night minus its regularly scheduled 9-11 p.m. programming with repeat theatrical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at a mere 2.3/ 4 in the overnights. Earlier in the evening on the alphabet net was Sunday 7 p.m. staple America’s Funniest Home Videos (#3: 4.1/ 7), followed by recent entry Once Upon a Time (#3: 6.4/ 9 at 8 p.m.), which earned its full season renewal stripes for growing by a hefty 49 percent out of the 7:30 p.m. portion of AFHV (4.3/ 7).

Fox populated the evening with repeats of Bob’s Burgers (#2: 7.0/11, which could be a partial football overrun) and The Cleveland Show (#4: 2.8/ 4) from 7-8 p.m., followed by the original rotation of The Simpsons (#4: 4.2/ 6), The Cleveland Show (#4: 3.3/ 5), Family Guy (#3: 4.4/ 6) and American Dad (#3: 3.4/ 5) from 8-10 p.m. The animated Fox comedies rely, of course, on the young adult demos.

  1. sad to see Once Upon a Time among the "honorable mentions" this week, especially for such a great episode.. but football's always a winner!

  2. I hope OUAT still got great ratings! Hate that it's in the "Honorable Mentions" section.

    Damn you, football!

  3. I'm loving seeing "60 Minutes" as a Winner. After all these years, it's still the best of the news magazines.

  4. The ratings for The Good Wife are good, it's what we can expect next year without Desperate Housewives

  5. I hope ABC learns to stop scheduling so many new episodes in December. All of it's dramas take a hit then.

  9. That's the best I've seen The Good Wife in a while. I hope CBS takes note that the ratings will improve with less DH and less football.

  10. Football really gave Once Upon a Time a killing last night.

Troubling devolpments are under 9 Million In total viewers and 2.9 In Demo.DVR should help the numbers some but at one time It was beating the Amazing Race.

The real test will be after the break. And how It does coming back. Also It will be Intresting to see how It
    does without football against It.
