I put great, as I felt this was a good set up episode...I like how "time" keeps becoming a point of interest in contrast to Dexter once again blaming Harry for his life.
either I think time travel will involved (everyone Dexter cares about might die) or Deb will find out.
Wormwood and falling star could peg either death by doomsday killer -as planned, or the show could go with futurists perspective of astroid hitting the earth...
but falling star could mean 'death of a star' so a character could die, or literally a star goes super nova. Wormwood is a plant that is relative to absinthium, which can heal, but can also kill because it's poisonous and has a "bitter taste". (In Revelations it is "the bitter" who die)...but we could use "worm" as worm hole. Also Wormwood then relate to Ansinthe, the drink derived from herbs like wormwood. Absinthe's effects on the mind (such as it not being a "hallucinogine") are still being debated toady, it's often argued that any hallucinating would have come from adding other 'cheaper' chemicals that may have been used to make absinthe and that it's traditional make-up would not act as psychotropics, but instead delayed reaction time, add, and perhaps seizures...
Lil' Kev from Sunny! First he comes to AHS to play a creepy killer, now he's a creepy killer on Dexter...
Nothing more than ok for me. After a good start, the season got constantly weaker. I hope the finale will be good, at least the finales have always been pretty good.
I agree, this episode also fell flat for me. Recruiting two mindless drones for his cause isn't what gets me interested a lot. All in all Dexter is still an entertaining show, but it had much more engaging episodes. And the Geek side-story better has some meaty end to it.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
good episode just seemed short
ReplyDeleteIt fell flat yet again
ReplyDeleteloved it!!!

geez- you sound like Jeff Jensen talking about Lost! ;-)
ReplyDeletei liked that Dexter callled the cops instead of trying to handle everything by himself. this episode was a definate improvement over the last 2.
