  1. Loved it! Holy fuck, I was not expecting Jimmy to die! They're killing off characters left and right!

And yay, Margaret and Nucky got married! Although she annoys me. WTF IS SHE DOING?

    Cannot wait for season three!

  2. I loved the symmetry of starting off the season premiere at Chalky's warehouse with the KKK and then starting the finale with a return of the KKK!

I think Manny the Butcher has become one of my favorite characters on the series. So unique and just outright disconcerting every time he is on the screen!

I was wondering if marriage was in the cards when Margaret considered testifying against Nucky... and if the laws were the same back then about a wife not having to be forced to testify against her husband.

I Love Eli and Nucky chats! "Et tu Eli?" .... "Was a character named Eli?" XD

I love Rothstein! "Flip a coin. When it's in the air you'll know which side you're hoping for." That is so true!

After I heard Angela say, "You know what? You're going to be a big man in this town one day. Just like your father" I would have loved it if Richard Harrow shot her so she could not corrupt another Darmody. XD

I did not anticipate Jimmy being killed in this finale, but it really was the only way it could end between Jimmy and Nucky. If one had to go... buhbye Jimmy!

That was a brilliant finale to a great season!
It just shows the difference between the typical "Good" or "Okay" TV shows and "Great" shows - the typical series do not have the nerve to kill off a main character even if the story demands it.

  3. Didn't see that coming, but not sure the finale makes up for such a boring season.

  4. Margaret and the whole church thing rubbed me the wrong way in the latter half of the season, highlighted with the final scene.....also, did not expect Jimmy to die at all..even after it happened, I thought it would be like a dream or something like that...so excited to see where season 3 is going to go from here...

  5. Wow, boring?
I loved this season and thought it was better than Season 1. I guess a lot of people think BE is boring, but personally I find it one of the 4 or 5 best shows on TV. I don't know how writing that is that good can be boring I guess....

  6. TOTALLY AGREE WITH DARQUE..............I wanted Harrow to destroy Gillian ASAP the minute the baby Jimmys boy was in bed ..................Harrow should raise Jimmys son. Margaret Margaret Margaret boy oh boy can she turn the screws...........Eli and Nucky on the porch....a great scene. Freaking Eli is so simple......(in reference to Brutus) LOL... Well the prosecutor is going to be busy next season putting her ducks in a row...........I love how she was practicing her opening statement while everything was happening in the background....very Godfather very well done. Van Alden tsk tsk tsk what are you gonna do??? You have your nanny and baby and your a wanted FBI man....whew good luck with that.
Jimmy.............RIP kiddo you went through some serious crap............I for one blame all this on your mama............if she did not go to your college that night and mess around with your Professor and you for that matter..... you would have continued in school instead of going off to war and getting messed up. Gillian you are a classless sham of motherhood! Here is to season 3 ........Nucky you are a real gangster now..............glad to see you do your own dirty work for a change. Till next season....good job Boardwalk Empire and Buscemi and company..............Excellent entertainment. See yah next year.

  7. The fun part about Van Alden going to Cicero is that is the town where Al Capone really became the iconic gangster we know him as. So I'm sure Van Alden will have more interaction with Capone and his rise to power in Chicago/ Cicero.

  8. Oh Jimmy looking back your death was inevitable and when you had a beautiful bro moment with Richard and told him to come home and essentially get a life I just knew your card was marked.

    'I am not seeking forgiveness'

That line oh god and Jimmy's line about dying in the trench. MY TEARS OH MY TEARS.

Overall I thought S2 was way better than S1 it had real momentum and consequences, role on S3

  9. - I guess I bought into the rumors about Michael Pitt so Jimmy's death wasn't a surprise to me.
    - I echo your love for Manny Horvitz.  I'm glad they didn't kill him off and I hope he has a bigger role next season.
     - Ditto for Rothstein, though he loses a couple of points with me for continually letting his duplicitous underlings get away with stuff they shouldn't.
     - Not enough Chalky in Boardwalk Empire yet.  He needs a bigger piece of the show.
     - Margaret was probably my favorite character in season one, yet now it seems like she's continually grating on me.  Signing over that deed to the church was so maddening all I could do was laugh when I saw it happen.
     - What a weird ending for Van Alden this season, right?

  10. I'm not being dramatic when I say that I'm not watching season 3, I'm just being honest. I feel there is no point to watch it now that Jimmy is dead. Jimmy was just as important if not more so than Enoch. He WAS the main character to many of us. Would they kill Deb from Dexter only 2 seasons in? How about Jesse from Breaking Bad? I know about Ned Stark dying in GT, but there were MANY "main" characters in that show. It just isn't right. They said that it was the only option, but why couldn't Enoch forgive him? He's supposed to go all-out gangster? Then kill the freaking lying bastard Eli! There were options, but the writers were lazy and choose the easy way out. They were trying to end the season with a shocker, even if it didn't make any sense. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way, and I wouldn't be surprised if the views plummet next season. Unless you can make it into some sort of dream that Enoch had, good luck.
