Epic, was soooo hard not to blab too much about Merlin/Mum and Arthur/Gwen scenes, or the village simpleton thing XD Prob my fav episode this series :D
I'm still not sure they will let Merlin's secret out, and I think more evil has to be banished/sorted before it's allowed in general in Camelot :( We have 2 more series (iirc?) so I think there's room for the plot to unfold.
I agree--I don't think they're going to have a magic reveal. They have to retake Camelot and Arthur has to get the sword--when the reveal happens it's going to take at least an entire episode. There's just not enough time right now.
And I don't want the reveal to happen in the next episode. Arthur's still not ready. He was just betrayed by Agravaine (or at least knows of it now) and if Merlin suddenly dumps the magic thing on him it'll be too much for him to handle. I have a feeling it's going to be a topic during the fifth season. I hope in like the second or third episode we get the reveal, then Arthur has to deal with it, and then we FINALLY get to see them kick butt together as King and Warlock. :)
I agree. Arthur's not ready. But I'd like that someone else finds out. Other than Agravaine, of course. Gwen: it would be interesting, because then she'd be divided between her loyalty to her boyfriend/husband and her best friend, plus it would give Angel Coulby something else to do than to be the romantic interest. Morgana: she has to know, Merlin and her can't be true enemies until she does, she has to stop thinking that he's beneath her. One of the knights: since Lancelot is gone, it would be nice for Merlin to have another friend in the field, Gwain probably would be open to it, and I can imagine him saying something like "Can you conjure some ale for me?" One of these choices would be fine to start for me, and if Merlin has a bunch of friends to back him up when Arthur finds out, it could be easier for him to accept Merlin.
Yeah, he needs someone else Lancelot is gone. :( I want either Gwaine or Gwen, because I can easily see Gwaine totally chill about it and making Merlin feel safe (lol at the conjuring ale) and I want Gwen because then when Arthur finds out she would have processed it early enough so she could help calm him down. I feel that at first Arthur will be so hurt that he won't be able to think properly but then if Gwen is there to remind him of all the good things Merlin has done then it will be a lot smoother. I was really hoping Gwen would have found out when Merlin healed her in the previous episode. :(
I think Gwen would be the perfect choice to find out first too. I wouldn't be surprised if she kinda knew already deep down, but just hasn't let that niggling thought surface. So when she does find out, a lot of things will slip into place quite quickly and she will instantly see how Merlin's magic is of a help to Arthur and Camelot.
I am really glad that they are allowing Gwen and Arthur to reconcile, but i personally wish that gwen would at least discover that Morgana enchanted that bracelet so she doesnt have to live with the guilt. Plus i am really excited to see arthur pull the sword from the stone.

2 seasons? I thought there was a 5 season plan. I think there will be a reveal but only to a select few (I'm guessing Gwaine)
ReplyDeleteAhh, it may be only one now I think on it, but there have been rumours of TV films/specials afterwards, but I don't know how solid they are.

ReplyDeleteI was meaning a small reveal, since Lancelot has done a Rory and been killed again, there is an opening. Plus there's a rumour Gwaine finds out.

ReplyDeleteOh okay--yeah that would be awesome! :) Gwaine should know his best friend's secret, eh? XD
