Viva Berlin! - a german Post-apocalyptic Zombie webseries - Trailer and more
6 Nov 2011
WebseriesSo. This is part of tv-culture learning. This time: Viva Berlin!, which is a zombie-webseries made by german students as their final project, at "Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg" (film academy).
An unknown plague is rapidly spreading in Berlin. All its carriers turn into blood-thirsty zombies who feed off the uninfected. After a short time, ninety five percent of the population is dead or undead; Berlin’s face has changed entirely. VIVA BERLIN! is Germany’s first serious attempt at a zombie project. The series consists of five mini-episodes – horror stories without a single soft spot. The ultimate genre experience – as hard and unsparing as true zombie fans appreciate it.
Here's the first trailer, where ure going to meet some apocalyptical stuff and of course, u will meet some zombies. Check it out:
finally: In germany we dont have much money to produce very cool tv-shows or either webseries like holywood and co. Sadly and a few month back in 2011, our onliest webseries portal (called 3min.de) got to go offline, cause the editors didnt see any future for "high quality produced" stuff like that. its sad. but its the way it is.
So, after we know things like this, and also that in germany there's no tv-series like the walking dead, true blood, game of thrones, or other cool and highly produced stuff, it's always great to see, that some "young students" are willing to change that ... i like it! How about u?

LOL. I wish I understood this, because it seems awesome.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a pretty good effort with decent production values. Wish I understood Deutche so I could get a sense of the dialogue.
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome! :D
ReplyDeleteI want to see this :L
ReplyDeleteLooks good,do not understand 1 word.
ReplyDeleteOut of practice with my German. Looks like they have powerful guns over in the Motherland.
ReplyDeleteOh, this looks rather great! Gross, yeah, relentless, too, but good! I think I'm going to try to watch it, although I don't think my german vocabulary is good enough haha. Hope someone translates it or something!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I can translate is "berliner mauer" (the berlin wall) and it's three different mentions: 1961 the building of the Berlin Wall; 1989 the fall of the Berlin Wall; 2012 the rebuilt of the Berlin Wall.
ReplyDeleteSorry if you find this obvious, just trying to help a bit :)
Here is how I translate the trailer:
ReplyDelete“Here
speaks Pit from Radio [insert name] Berlin, the station which looks with you
into the abyss. News about the source of the crisis, its course and giving tips about
drugs which are the best to help you against it. Tell us where you are and how
the situation is looking like. And believe me, there are still people who are
hearing you.”
1961:
Construction of the Berlin Wall
“How many
were it today?” “50, 60…They are growing in numbers.”
“When you’re
being bitten, and it can happen at any time. Then I won’t let you down.”
1989: Fall
of the Berlin Wall
“4 weeks of
martial law. We’re again in the time of old Rome!”
2012:
Re-Construction of the Berlin Wall
Ui, So was böses gibt's auf der Filmakademie :) Da bin ich aber gespannt.
ReplyDeleteLooks good!
That's more like it! :)
ReplyDeleteIrgendwie müssen sie ja ihre aufgestauten gewalttätigen Emotionen rauslassen. :D
ReplyDeletewhen it comes out, could someone make subtitles for it and repost?
ReplyDeleteOr let's just all do a fast German language course :D I bet there is at least somebody active here from Germany!
ReplyDeleteYup :)
