The Vampire Diaries - Latest from Zap2It - 15th November 2011

Thanks to Colette @ TVDAddictions for the heads up.

Bonnie (Kat Graham) may currently be nursing a broken heart on "The Vampire Diaries," but when the show returns this winter she'll have a new love interest to, hopefully, take her mind off Jeremy and that time he was unfaithful to her with his ghost ex-girlfriend.

Mystic Falls is weird, you guys.

As first reported by E!, Robert Ri'chard will play Jamie, a new hottie in town who catches Bonnie's eye, and has a surprising connection to her mother, Abby (Persia White). Don't worry... we're hearing there's no love connection there. This isn't "90210."

We're hoping Jamie doesn't turn out to be a witch, but given Mystic Falls' history, the "new hottie in town" always spells trouble. If you ask us, it's about time Bonnie gets a story of her own and some fleshed-out history, so we're glad to hear that she's going to have family trouble and new romance prospects all at once.

Of course, we can't help but wonder how Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) will feel about Jamie. After all, men with their eye on our resident witch haven't tended toward being trustworthy, upstanding citizens. He doesn't have much room to be jealous, of course, given his recent conduct.

Ri'chard is familiar to CW audiences from a recurring arc during the "Veronica Mars" college year, but we love him best as the guy who hooked up with Paris Hilton in "House of Wax." Before her tragic death-by-pipe-through-the-brain. Hate when that happens

  3. Given his skin color, he's definitely gonna be another witch. No, this is not racist of me or anything, but simply something that the TVD ppl seem to do ... get someone with a dark skin-color on the show and it's a witch.
I get that a lot of that is because of the history of the witches in mystic falls (or rather in all of north america?) but it's still a little annoying, if you ask me. Because it's too predictable.

I agree with this little article, though. I also hope he actually will NOT be a witch.

And wow, I'm surprised the Bonnie-Jer story seems to be over so quickly Oo almost like it never ever happened at all

  4. I never liked Bonnie/Jeremy, so I'm more than happy to see them move on from that. Ever since it and the ghost stories ended, though, Jeremy's had nothing to do.

  5. I really don't think Bonnie needs a new guy.. I was hoping she'd have the chance to focus on herself for a while.. I also think we have more important things than Bonnie's broken heart to worry about right now

  7. "a new hottie in town who catches Bonnie's eye"Really?  Bonnie hasn't exactly canvased the local dating pool.  You mean to tell me that there are no current residents of Mystic Falls that would interest Bonnie?

  8. Seems strange that there is not one regular on VD to tame the witch.  This is the second time Bonnie will show interest in a newbie.  Her being jealous of a Anna's Ghost.  Some understanding would be nice.  But, than I am not a writer of the show.  Wish I could think up a ghost like that.  oh male tho..lol
