The SpoilerTV People's Choice Awards Polls - Day 1 - Drama

9 Nov 2011

Yesterday we posted the full nominations for the People's Choice Awards.

I thought it would be fun to run a series of Polls over the next few days to see how the knowledgeable SpoilerTV Readers would vote.

So Vote in the Polls below and let us know who you voted for and why in the comments below.

We'll have another set of polls tomorrow.

68 comments:

  1. Favorite TV Crime Drama is still mean.

SPN wins all the time, and Once Upon A Time is the best new TV show.

  2. we want to choose more than one a two will be a good limit is a very tough competition.

  3. This is so much easier than the best tv show poll. No hard decisions.
I voted supernatural for best network show, Dexter for best cable show, criminal minds fr vest crime drama ( this used to be Ncis but it got less awesome and I discovered how awesome criminal minds us)
Ian and Nina from vampire diaries for best actors
And I didn't vote in best new show because I haven't seen enough of any of them yet to make a good enough judgment.
I also voted on the actual website.
Here's to supernatural! Let's take home the title!

  6. Favorite TV Crime Drama....has to be Bones
    Actor...David Boreanaz
    Actress...Emily Deschanel

The entire cast is great and this season will be the most important yet!
Also, Once Upon a Time is a great New Show...very unusual!!

  7. On the last poll, Secret Circle is listed twice and I think Terra Nova is missing.

    On the others, voted:
Good Wife (sorry, SPN, been too disappointed in you recently)
    Nathan Fillion
    Ellen Pompeo
White Collar (no AMC shows listed?)
    NCIS

  8. Easy: The Good Wife
    Nathan Fillion
    Emily Deschanel

    Pretty Litlle Liars
    Person of Interest

  9. Voted :
    - Vampire Diaries
    - Ian Somerhalder

  10. Supernatural and White Collar for sure.  Emily Deschanel by default.  Once Upon a Time for now but that may change by the time voting ends.  Favortie actor flips between David Boreanaz and Nathan Fillion each time.  Crime drama is Castle by a nose since I'm still not caught up on Bones and NCIS.

  11. SPN, because as a fan of the show I'm pretty sure it's required by law for me to vote in all polls for it.
Nathan and Emily for drama actors.
White Collar, Castle, and Revenge for the next three polls.
    This will be fun!

  12. Okay, let's see: The Good Wife for best drama, because it's the best written of the bunch; Hugh Laurie, because he's the only consistently great part of House; Emily Deschanel, because she's great on Bones (last week's premiere clinched it); Dexter, because I was not able to see Game Of Thrones; Bones, it was a tough one, given that I like most of the nominees, but I like Bones the best; and Person of Interest, because it's good to see Ben again.

  13. This list just reminded me of why I don't like The People's Choice Awards (or any awards show voted on by the public). XD

Most o the best dramas and best dramatic actors are excluded... Shame.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I voted Supernatural, White Collar, Castle and Once Upon A Time.

and Nathan Fillion and Emily Deschanel.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Possibly the best new NETWORK TV show (I'd pit Revenge ahead of it myself) ,but if cable counted.... then Homeland is far superior in almost every way honestly.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Why is the Secret Circle twice on the list???

    ReplyDelete
  17. I voted for Supernatural (until the last episode I was enjoying this season a great deal), Ian Summerhalder,  Nina Dobrev and I went with Revenge as best new show, although I really like OUAT

    ReplyDelete
  18. Favorite Network TV Drama - Supernatural
No contest here! Supernatural is my all-time favorite TV show!

Favorite TV Drama Actor - Ian Somerhalder
Since neither Jensen Ackles nor Jared Padalecki made the list (why?!!), I went for Ian Somerhalder who shines as Damon Salvatore on The Vampire Diaries.

Favorite TV Drama Actress - Nina Dobrev
Nina Dobrev is my absolute favorite for her portrayal of HBIC Katherine Pierce on The Vampire Diaries.

Favorite Cable TV Drama - Pretty Little Liars
What can I say? It's a guilty pleasure...

Favorite TV Crime Drama - None
I don't watch procedural cop shows.

Favorite New TV Drama - Once Upon A Time
Although I was really excited for The Secret Circle, I was totally disappointed by it when it aired and gave it up after a handful of episodes.
On the other hand, Once Upon A Time, a show I wasn't really that excited about, became my favorite new TV show.

    ReplyDelete
  19. SPN, Nathan Fillion, Emily Deschanel, Game of Thrones (that was a hard poll, I love White Collar and PLL too), Castle and Ringer! :)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Once Upon a Time, really? Would've never thought it was so popular. I watched the pilot and thought it was riddiculous, to be honest. I'm quite enjoying Terra Nova, hence my vote for it. Haven't given Ringer, Revenge and Grimm a shot yet, but from what I've read, they might be cool as well.

In other polls I voted Supernatural (my biggest TV love) and Game of Thrones (my newest TV love; btw, waiting for season 2 is a torture!).

    ReplyDelete
  21. I voted for Nathan Fillion, Emily Deschanel and Castle.

    ReplyDelete
  22. haha, you took the words outta my mouth re TPCA XD  And then you voted practically the same as me, by default too :P  I went for Once Upon for the last one though, just watched Ep 3 and was blown away :D  Why the heck Homeland isn't a choice is completely beyond me mind, it's easily the best new show imo.

  23. BLAKE LIVELY and NOT LEIGHTON MEESTER? WHAT?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hahaha it is so ridiculous to have a TV Drama Actress category and not have Julianna Margulies as a nominee. Especially when she's been winning every award known to man. I guess they wanted to give the other nominees a shot lol.

    ReplyDelete
  25. The Vampire Diaries
    Ian Somerhalder
    Nina Dobrev
    Dexter
    -
    Revenge

  27. try giving Once Upon a Time another chance - I wasn't overly impressed by the pilot, but the last two episodes have really drawn me in.  I enjoy it much more than I thought I would!

and while I'm at it, I'll add a ringing (no pun intended) endorsement for Ringer, as well - SMG is fantastic, and it's great to see her back on TV again

    ReplyDelete
  28. The Vampire Diaries, Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, Game of Thrones, The Secret Circle

    ReplyDelete
  29. I only voted for Grimm in the new favorite TV Drama. I've not been really committed to the other categories.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I love Supernatural. But House is the better show.

    ReplyDelete
  31. vampire diaries, ian somerhalder, nina dobrev, plll, NCIS, and hart of dixie!

    ReplyDelete
  32. In the category of Favorite Crime Drama, I want to chose both NCIS and Criminal Minds! I the category Favorite Cable TV Drama I want to choose White Collar and Dexter! I voted for House and Hugh Laurie also. Awesome show, awesome actor!

1). Supernatural because I really enjoy the winchesters, castiel, the show itself the last 7 seasons have done good and are fun. Second choice is VD but the only reason why Supernatural beat VD is because Supernatural doesnt take themselves to seriously. Otherwise both shows are pretty tied to me.
2). Nathan Fillion- because he's hilarious and fun to watch and a great Richard Castle. He's just one of my favorite tv actors. 2nd would be ian somerhalder
3). Nina Dobrev of course no doubt about it! I have the hots for her Katherine more then Elena tho. Katherine's just more fun to watch.
5). Castle because its one of the best shows out there its hilarious, good mystery, etc. and plus i dont like any of the others.
6). This was extremely hard. I watch POI, OUAT, TN, Secret Circle, Ringer, and Grimm. I definitly crossed out Grimm, Ringer and OUAt as best (OUAt is fun and awsome but its only been like 3 episodes). Secret Circle is fun but a little to much teenage drama so i took that out buts it 3rd. TN vs POI and I voted for POI because i love the concept of the show, the characters, the story and mystery its all fun. TN i would've voted for and its awsome for many reasons except it only has 12 episodes. But thats why I voted for both lol! POI (first) and terra nova 2nd.

  34. fav tv crime drama is EASY... Castle of course.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Well, I had a few.  Favorite Drama - Supernatural, Favorite Crime Drama - Criminal Minda, and Favorite New Drama - Hart of Dixie.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Yes, I felt the same way! "WHERE IS HOMELAND! THIS IS WRONG!"

    ReplyDelete
  37. FAVE DRAMA:...The Good Wife. (Only because SPN doesn't need my help for now, and TGW is pretty much my favorite thing along with Fringe right now on tv...)
ACTOR: Hugh Laurie (I really disliked choosing between so many I care nothing for)
ACTRESS: Nina Dobrev (Where's ANNA TORV!?)
    CABLE DRAMA: Game of Thrones!!
NEW SHOW: ...Person of Interest (*HOMELAND*)

    ReplyDelete
  38. Seriously!
I had the same issue choosing in most of the categories - choices I did not really care about or think deserved to be on any "best" list.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I voted for who I thought would win:

    Grey's
    Fillion
    Deschanel
    True Blood
    NCIS
    Once Upon A Time

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well, Supernatural, White Collar, NCIS and Terra Nova. Can't vote for anything (or anyone) else since I don't watch any of those shows.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Throwing in my 2 cents about Ringer, Revenge, and Grimm.  Ringer is excellent is you skip the pilot (truly awful stuff there) and you don't mind checking your brain at the door.  If you get caught trying to explain why the characters do what they do, you'll go insane.  It's best enjoyed living by its own campy rules.  Revenge is good if you don't mind hating every single character and again you chuck away your common sense.  It has no grounding in reality but it certainly move so quickly you forget where you left your brain in the conundrum.  Grimm is well grim and another police procedural with a supernatural twist.  Of the 3 it is by far the least fun but it may make the most sense within the context of the world the writers created.

  42. it's so sad to see House losing, it used to be such a great show..

  43. supernatural & Criminal Minds

You gave us too few choices for favorite actor/actress. I would have voted Matthew Gray Gubler (who's FAR better than Boreanaz) or Michael C. Hall, and Paget Brewster. I don't watch most of the shows in the polls, btw. I used to watch Bones but it lost its appeal after Brennan got pregnant. Criminal Minds has always been the best anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  45. David Boreanaz, Emily Deschanel, True Blood, Bones (Never really got into Castle, it just reminded me of Bones too much) and Pan Am (It's the only new show I've seen so far)

    ReplyDelete
  46. The Good Wife, Nathan Fillion, none (should be Stana Katic), Dexter, Castle and Once Upon a Time.

    ReplyDelete
  47. The Key word is USED to be

  48. TVD, Ian, Nina, GoT, NCIS and Revenge.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Supernatural, Ian Somerhalder, Emily Deschanel, Game of Thrones, Criminal Minds and Hart of Dixie

    ReplyDelete
  50. TVD, Nathan Fillion and Castle. Of course it's Castle.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I know Fringe it's in the scifi/fantasy category, but why is not in the drama as well? Considering that both Supernatural and TVD are in both. I think Fringe belongs more to this category as well.
And no nomination for Anna Torv and John Noble. I read all this months about how they should've been nominated for an Emmy, and now that is the People's Choice, they don't make it?
I actually nominated them, but I guess it wasn't enough. I know it's not an important award, but it would be good for Fringe, to show them suport.

    My votes:
    - Supernatural
    - Ian Somerhalder
    - Nina Dobrev
    - Game of thrones
    - Person of Interest

    ReplyDelete
  52. Of course: The Vampire Diaries, Ian Somerhalder ( He has to win!), Nina Dobrev, True Blood, NCIS (I love Gibbs :) ) and Ringer.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Once upon a time for new show... Nathan Fillion for best Actor Drama... Castle for Best TV crime drama!

    ReplyDelete
  54. i was surprised there was no Homeland nomination. It is the best new drama this year!

    ReplyDelete
  55. What happened to Homeland? what about NCIS,sometimes i get the feeling that i am on a site dedicated to supernatural,Vampire Diaries,or Dexter isms.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I have to vote for SUPERNATURAL in both categories: Fvaorite Network T.V. Drama and Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show! This has to be the best series on T.V.! It's on its 7th season and every episode is awesome! Been a huge fan since day 1. I think it is very under rated and the actors arent recognized as much as they should. Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles are superb actors, as well as all the other actors. The writers & producers are very creative and there ideas are amazing. I look forward to many more seasons. Hope it lasts as long as Smallville did. This show definelty deserves the award because theirs no other show like it....Supernatural all the way! <3

    ReplyDelete
  57. Vampire Diaries for best drama and Nina for best actress, only because I don't even remotely like anyone else in the poll.
Best actor obviously Nathan (how is Ian winning? I mean, he's hot, but he's OVERACTS-SO-MUCH!), best cable GoT, best crime Castle and best new show Once Upon, but imo it shares the title with Revenge.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I know, it's just sad that a show that was once so good is now, well, mediocre at best

    ReplyDelete
  59. SPN wins all the time for me, and Once upon a time and Person of Interest are the best new show on the TV.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Come on! And Homeland?
