  1. I love absolutely fucking everything about this show.

  2.  GREAT, but I want more Snow White story (and Charming story too ^^)

  3. I voted just OK. I found the whole Jiminy Cricket backstory pretty boring; same with the Snow White/Prince Charming scenes.

Henry was aggravating and is definitely my least favorite character. Archie must be the least effective therapist ever. Sheriff Graham was.. there. Emma was pretty cool, but doesn't seem to mind ignoring Regina's parental authority (talking to Henry after Regina sent him to wait in the car where its safe). I really loved Regina this episode; she really does care about Henry. Heck, she knew Emma could find something down there that could prove the curse real, and still let her go down because she knew she was the best chance Henry had.

great episode! They used more special effects this time then visual which was fun and they did good with that. I liked the Jiminy center story it was fun and pure entertainment to see both versions develop more.  I like at the end the visual fx of Jiminy and the blue fairy but i thought from the pilot that Jiminy was able to talk wasnt he? Man i think tony amendola is awsome great actor. (he plays gepetto btw to any people who dont know him). The cricket Jiminy was made more realistic so it was fine with me how he looked. And lastly great use of Rumplestiltskin! He being there with cinderella, jiminy, rumple has really made himself spread in the storys. I don’t think there will ever be a second where I don’t like robert’s acting. I was just surprised I didn’t expect rumple/gold were going to be in it. And seeing mr. gold have the parents as dolls at the end is I think the final hint that mr. gold knows everything like regina. The only question I have between the two is who of them is the most evil of them? The queen set the curse in motion and is mayor of the town but Rumple is the one who gave It to her, makes deals with people for evil purposes, etc. Im going with rumple is more of the enemy (mr. gold also owns pretty much regina’s town as well). Whose with me? Great acting to the bunch especially to Raphael and Jennifer. Not much at all of snow white and charming but it had its moments as the C story lol.

btw i hate to say it for roberts sake but rumple making deals with everyone at first was fun and interesting but now it looks like prince charming...i think its going a little to far soon rumple is going to be the center of the show or something lol. Agree? and what about on my question up top?

  6. Interesting back story for Jiminy .

  7. It seems Rumplestiltskin makes deals with everybody.Further hints tonight Mr Gold knows the truth.

Intresting twist on Gepetto as being the boy whose parents were turned Into dolls.Gives a lot of history
    between Gepetto and Jiminary Cricket.

  8. The Good:
This episode showed exactly what the series has been missing as a whole. comic timing! The Mayor Richard Wilkins... I mean Jiminy's father, the Puppet Prince played by Harry Groener was brilliant! No less so was Carolyn Hennesy (Barb on Cougar Town) as the Puppet Princess!

As usual Robert Carlyle was great as Rumplestiltskin!

It's nice (and all too rare) on this series when a cast member really nails their Enchanted Forest role and this week had 3 of them!

There was less Emma this week.

    The Neither Here nor There:
And I cannot believe they wanted to set explosives at an unstable sinkhole that keeps shifting, even having just recently shifted again minutes before. No common sense or reality on this series....Then to top it off, the town happens to have repelling equipment handy? A town with no mountains or cliff? How many small hamlets have sporting goods stores or random equipment like that.

    The Bad:
Am I the only one that has absolutely NO sympathy for Mary Margret? I never can't feel anything but anger for a "good" person that is doing bad things as if they were good. As far as she knows, she is trying to steal married man from his wife. She has no memory of being his soul mate and having a pre-existing relationship. Even if she did, she needs to sit her butt down and wait for Mr Nolan to officially leave his relationship.

Was I the only one hoping Henry would die? XDSeriously though, Henry needs to die. No kid that wanders into fresh sinkholes should be allowed to live. Even if the sinkhole does not claim them they showed be culled for the good of the herd! At some point there needs to be consequences for Henry's actions. Thus far he has ran ruckshot around the town unhindered....

Overall this was a slow, predictable episode with the best parts being the guest stars. I think I've reached my limit of nonsensical happenings with this show. I think between Once Upon a Time and Ringer I have had 2 or three seasons worth of ridiculous.

  9. Well of course he is. That's the natural antagonistic progression. The Evil Queen can't stay the antagonist for the entire run of the show. This episode more than proved that. Once the Evil Queen's plots are dealt with, the show has to have a way to continue, and Rumplestiltskin as the main antagonist after the Evil Queen is the best way to continue the show's forward momentum.

  10. It was great. Although I'm going to need to see a LOT of redemption to think Archie is actually a good guy now.

  11. As far as I'm concerned, this week's episode was this show's "Walkabout". I absolutely loved it, and it made Jiminy my new favorite character, which is something I never expected to happen.

What was that at the end of the episode though at the bottom of the mineshaft? I wasn't quite able to make it out.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Regina is by far the most interesting part of the show.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I kind of liked the Gepetto twist. His parents are turned to wooden dolls and he becomes a woodworker. Presumably to keep them  in good shape and keep them around as long as he lives in hopes they can one day maybe be turned back.

wow i actually didnt realize that was gepetto as a kid. I thought the blue fairy just meant he had to find a man named Gepetto. Lol that clears things up. Tony Amendola was a good pick.

it looked like it may have been a part of prince charming or the queen's castle. Regina knew what it was and henry was right about the curse getting weaker after emma became the deputy with that being almost unearthed.

  16. Another entertaining show. For the life of me though, I can't understand why anyone would beg a fairy princess to turn him into an insect.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Every episode of this show just gets better and better. I absolutely love the symbolism and parallelisms  the writers use in this show and tonight's episode was definitely a strong one in that aspect. Knowing now that one of my favorite writers, Jane Espenson, wrote this one I can understand why I loved it so much. How it all came together in the end, for both worlds, was great to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  18.  I thought the same thing when he wished to be turned into a cricket lol.

    ReplyDelete
  19. That was some serious over-the-top silliness!

    ReplyDelete
  20. It was snow whites glass casket from the first episode.

    ReplyDelete
  21. He didn't beg a fairy to turn him into an insect. He wanted to be free of his parents. Crickets embodied freedom in his mind. On top of that, if he was going to redeem himself to Gepetto, he couldn't attempt it still looking like he did or he'd never gain the boy's trust. (And his parents seem to be clever enough con-artists to notice someone in disguise.)

On top of all that, they've established that you can't get 100% good out of magic. Whatever the Blue Fairy did would have to come at some price even if it was meant in benevolence. So Jiminy being turned into a cricket 1) fulfilled the price of the magic by making him lose his humanity, 2) made it so his parents would never be able to find him (and because of their dislike/distrust of crickets they would never even bother to look for him amongst the crickets even if they knew he was one), 3) allowed him to get close to Gepetto again, and 4) fulfilled Jiminy's mental image of what it meant to be completely and totally free.

So it wasn't silly at all. It made perfect sense. And he didn't beg either. It wasn't even his first wish. It was the wish he settled for, and even then he didn't ask the Blue Fairy for it. She asked him if that's what he wanted.

  22. They need to trade out Henry next season.  I'm sorry, but there are better child actors.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Not my fave one so far but not bad either. Robert Carlyle continues to be creepy and awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  24.  I hear you about MM, but she did redeem herself at the end there when she turned in her letter of resignation. I think she knows she's weak around coma-boy, so she purposely removed herself  from the situation.

But we are in total agreement about Henry. I've about had it with that insufferable little toad - he's as stupid as he is bratty. I wanted to slap Emma when she accused Regina of sending him into the mine because she ruined his delusion, when we all know his dumb ass was heading there no matter what. (Yeah, it's just sooo out of character for sensible and clever little Henry to run about doing reckless things willy nilly... I'll say this, he definitely IS his mother's son.) And I nearly hurled when St. Henry got to wisely advise Archie on how to be a good person by indulging a 10 year old's petulant whims. Fuck that shit. It's bad enough that Jiminy - a grown ass man - couldn't just up and leave his parents in La La land, but Archie in this world has to kowtow to the emotional manipulations of a child to feel like a man? Augh.

The problem with this show is that it has no middle ground... it aspires to it, but often relies on our knowledge of who is "good" versus who is "evil" to do the heavy lifting. Case in point: People were so busy protecting Henry's precious righteous feelings in this episode, that not one single person sat him down and actually explained to him that what he did was very, very stupid. Emma, the adult who most indulges him, really needed to BE an adult and set some terms for how said indulging is going to work, ie. We can investigate these matters, but you can't run off alone, safety comes first, and if I feel you're doing something dangerous or out of line, I'm stopping this whole thing, etc, etc. For god's sake, he's a KID! Set some bloody boundaries!

WE know that Henry is right about the whole thing, but the adults on the show who are operating under the impression that he's delusional need to act in ways that make sense with what THEY know. Otherwise is cheating. Besides, even IF they knew that Henry was right, a 10 year old has no business skipping about a collapsing mineshaft EVER, and he needs to be punished for that shit.

... So, yeah. Nonsensical happenings. Stupid Henry. Think we're on the same page, haha - sorry about that rant.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Indeed. He's so weak and pathetic... He lost me right around the time he - a grown-ass, BALDING man - went crawling to Rumplestiltskin for a magical solution to leave his parents. Like... is something stopping you from, you know, getting off at the next town, dude?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Agree with all your points, however still think the cricket makes it silly to me.

He had to have seen other free animals in his years as a pickpocket, but they only showed the cricket scene to reinforce their story. A bird, dog or any other animal would also represent freedom and would have been less silly to me. I'm not sure his parents hated crickets so much as they were mocking him, but I'm sure his parents disliked anything Jiminy mentioned he liked... not just crickets. It still would have been a price to pay and a disguise to allow him to bond with Gepetto. They basically tailored the back story to fit the future story. Who thinks of crickets as the ultimate freedom? Maybe inmates in solitary confinement that hear them outside, but that's about it.

    ReplyDelete
  27. No need to ever apologize for a rant to me. I appreciate them. XD

  28. If I may interject…with regard to your criticisms of Mary Margaret (AKA Snow White), I must
respectfully disagree.  I believe you are
overlooking one critical factor here, and that’s that SHE IS Mrs. Nolen.  The sudden appearance of Katheryn is
misleading to be sure, but don’t forget the core premise of the show’s
mythology…the “real-world” personas we are seeing (e.g. Mary Margaret) ARE in
actuality the cursed fairytale characters (e.g. Snow White), only in a
    different shared reality.  Therefore,
Mary Margaret IS in all actuality married to Mr. Nolen (AKA Prince Charming)
and Katheryn is of no relation to him whatsoever.  In thier cursed lives Mary Margaret’s lack of recollection, and for
that matter Mr. Nolen’s, is irrelevant here; particularly given the fact that
one could argue he has been in a coma since the curse took effect and therefore
never experienced a relationship of any kind with Katheryn as Mr. Nolen.  And as such she has no claim to him whatsoever. Under different circumstances, and if this
show were based on any other story, I too would consider Mary Margaret’s
pursuit distasteful and a serious character flaw…however, under these circumstances
I just don’t think the same principle applies.

  30. This is where I need to read my Grimms tales.  Jiminy Cricket is a Disney creation, right?  Personally, given the bizarreness of a character that is a cricket...I think it might have been easier to get there if it had not been his choice to be a cricket.   Something like...Jiminy: "I want to stay and help that kid."  Fairy Godmother (and can we slip into the costume department and destroy that dress):  "Okay I can do that for you."  Jiminy:  "have you lost your mind....you made me a cricket!!!!!"

    ReplyDelete
  31. LOL.  thanks for that.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Interest point and certainly true in that sense...

I do think it's mitigated by the fact that she does not know she is Mrs. Nolan...

IT goes into that grey area of does Storybrooke count as reality or not. I have gone back and forth thinking on it. Are the characters their Enchanted Forest selves or are they their Storybrooke alternates since that is where they actually live now? Are they both, are they more one than the other?

Their Storybrooke reality is all they know, and that reality is where they live their lives and its Storybrooke's rules they must abide by.

I completely understand the attraction to each other or the feeling of everything feeling right when with the other due to their EF "past lives", but does that make the lives they have lived in Storybrooke for who knows how many years meaningless?

I guess I look at it somewhat like FRINGE. This reality is real and exists seperately from the very real reality with the Enchanted Forest. Storybrooke is the bridge room that connects the two universes. So for me both places are very real and have their own rules and realities to them. Therefore MM is not married to David Nolan.

At the same time... I can see if the Evil Queen created this entire universe as punishment for the residents of the Enchanted Forest, then this Storybrooke world is not real. It is the proverbial fairy tale.

I don't see it that way though, because to me it makes no sense that EQ would create such a complex universe (the entire world outside of Storybrooke) outside of her own and never enter into it when she could could just find a pre-existing universe and send the residents of Enchanted Forest there.

Parallel universes and alternate realities get so confusing. XD

  33. I missed some of the beginning ( still on my 'visiting family over Thanksgiving' trip.)  I was kind of luke warm to this ep.  I think it's going down there with the Cinderella ep.  Not the best but not bad enough to make me ill.

Love the idea that fairy tale world is literally just beneath Storybrooke.  Was really glad to see Prince Charming back.  ( I really liked that actor right away)  Annoyed with Henry.  Yawn. I am a huge Carolyn Hennesy and was thrilled to see her as Jiminy's mother.  The dolls were freaky.  Jiminy's character stuff...was...well the end point made sense but the path there felt forced.  More the writers put this together than feeling like it actually came out of the story.  Not their most successful ep.

    ReplyDelete
  34. you made me shiver when you mentioned him keeping his parents in good shape.  That's just....creepy.

    ReplyDelete
  35. to add a ditto to your explosives comment....do none of the dwarves mine in Storybrooke?  :-D

Mary Margaret's story didn't play to me as her trying to actively steal Mr. Nolan from his wife.  I was reading it more as she was drawn to him and unable to stay away.

I can't help but ask....you have two or three seasons worth of ridiculous...does that mean you're not going to stop watching OUAT?   I know how much fun it can be to watch a show that drives you do yell at the screen.  :-)   Just curious if Once Upon a Time has crossed into 'no more' territory for you yet.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I thought it was creepy too. I pictured him shining them and fixing any joints etc..... Eeek!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I'm not sure... I've said I'm done with this show 2 or 3 times now and I keep reading the great reviews and comments. So I assume it's improved and come back to see more of the same. XD

    ReplyDelete
  38. Ha!  Agreed.  Parallel universes and alternate realities are very confusing.  And I appreciate your Fringe reference, which is very appropriate considering the subject matter.  However,  in my opinion Fringe and OUAT differ with respect to your point about which (if either) reality/identity takes precendent over the other...In the case of Fringe I would argue that each universe represents a completely different timeline/course of events wherein the respective characters lead different lives based on their alternate circumstances (a product of cause/effect).  For example, this season's Walter never benefited from the relationship his alternate self had with his son, Peter, as Peter never survived into adulthood in this new timeline.  Hence his current state as a recluse scientist struggling to perform daily with the help of Olivia and Astrid.  Whereas the lives of OUAT's characters are not afforded that same opportunity; their lives have been effectively stunted as a result of the Evil Queen's curse.  The characters are not living, rather they have simply existed in a reality entirely constructed for them by the curse.  In fact, none of the residents of Storybrooke have any memories of the distant past (Henry himself alludes to this in the Pilot).  Furthermore, they've been trapped in an endless time loop where nothing changes and no one is permitted to alter the course of their own destinies as the Queen/Mayor and possibily Mr. Gold/Rumplestilzkin have total control.  That is of course until Emma came to Storybrooke.  Therefore, in this case I'd argue based on the above that the indentities constructed by the curse are false and the storybook character versions are the character's true identities.

I'd also argue that by this logic Storybrooke isn't the bridge between two functioning universes...it's a dead end.  Unless and until Emma's presence alters their destinies in some other way that is and they all return to Storybook Land and/or create a new reality based on the progress they'll make once they are free to forge their own paths.

    ReplyDelete
  39. It does feel like one giant stasis chamber for the entire town and not quite free-will living.

I guess how TOTB will tie Storybrooke into reality is the bit that intrigues me. Are the residents transplanted in the future or an alternate universe? Have there been other non-residents that visited the town before Emma? I mean they do have an Inn even if it does not get much business.

The logistics of it confuse me though.
They can't bring in groceries and other necessities since no one can leave once they enter the town. So is it a self-sustaining environment?

I can understand a self-contained village with no imports or exports. I don't quite get how this small town supports itself. Are there dairy and other farms outside of town but within the "city limits" that are part of the "time stand still"?  Are all the food shelves magically restocked when they get picked over?  Do they have regular Dhama air drops? XD

We have seen them do internet searches so Storybrooke appears to be connected to the outside world..Do they get TV from oiutside of Storybrooke and maybe more importantly do they get SpilerTV? XD

    ReplyDelete
  40. This show surprised me, I thought I'd hate it but I love it!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Regarding MM and Mr Nolan..............yes it very out of step for her to pursue a married man....but the way I see it .is since Emma came to town...........the clock begins to tick.........and memories begin to stir and feelings are awakening like Mr Nolan coming out of his coma................little by little the characters are awakening to their true selves. That why it is sooo out of character for MM to do what she does....but like mentioned below in other posts she is HIS WIFE and her feelings can't be denied. I will tell you this MM may have written a resignation letter but surely Snow White did not and she will fight to have her Prince Charming. As far as little Henry goes.............he is an okay little actor........he fits well in attitude as this little boy who knows that truth about many in the town........and his struggle to accomplish whatever he is  trying to accomplish. My feelings are this...............when everyone wakes up what then? Will Emma go to the enchanted land ??? as what a baby??? There will be no Henry....will the characters stay in Storybooke???? than Emma will be almost the same age or older than her mother??? This is where I hope the writer have it all planned out because I certainly am clueless  and I usually can figure things out. I mean really will we just leave Storybrooke and go back to the Enchanted Forest and live happily ever after??? yikes good luck writers............

    ReplyDelete
  42. Don't get me wrong, I love the show but urgh this episode was poor. Not the fairytale stuff just the overground stuff. Particularly near the end. Emma grabs the boy, who is not going to be the lightest thing in the world, then Jiminy manages to miss the falling lift by grabbing onto a spare carabina with his umbrella and hold onto it like its the most natural thing in the world. Because he would automatically slip down fabric. Because the handle wouldn't break, seriously is he the Penguin in Batman? If that's true then Emma must be Supergirl, holding onto Henry and being able to maintain Jiminy's weight through her harness whilst making sure they don't get battered to death against the walls.

Then there was the whole "Dont go into abandoned mines, you stupid kid" thing, which didn't happen. Throwing dynamite down a sinkhole... No big reveal down the mine, ok there was a little reveal but it wasn't the payoff I was hoping for, the whole dynamic between Emma and Regina as well.

I did like the scenes with Rumplestiltskin though, but thats not knew, and actually between Snow White and Charming, I didn't have a problem with that.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I think there were a lot of great things about this episode.  It was interesting to see the origins of someone who didn't exactly have a fairy tale beginning, aside from the villains, of course.  It's something I wouldn't have expected of a character like Jiminy Cricket, so I thought it was a fascinating back story.  I loved the sweet, touching moment in the mine shaft between Henry and Archie, and that Archie is finally on his way to becoming the man he wants to be - but then I feel like he backtracked when he blackmailed Regina.  I guess that's the only way to get through to her, but I was kind of disappointed.

On a different note, I loved the interaction between Mary Margaret and John Doe - I love how she's the only thing that seems right to him, though I'm also proud of her for turning in her resignation at the end.  It may not be perceived as a step forward in their relationship, but I'm glad they're not turning her into the "other woman" (at this point).

    ReplyDelete
  44. LOL!  Touche my friend...I guess the real question here is when will we discover the true state of affairs in Storybrooke?  Considering the fact that we are only 5 episodes into the series I'm okay with the mystery for now.  What fun would it be if we had all the answers up front right?  Besides I have faith that the writers will flesh out the mythology and backstory in a meaningful and unique way.  I'm eager to see what they devise next and I'm immensly enjoying the ride until we learn more...

    ReplyDelete
  45. I loved it and I loved absolutely everything in this episode.
    I simply enjoyed the ride.
Of course I absolutely don't care about reality or plausibility in this show, that's not what I'm looking for here. On the contrary, I love this show for fantastic elements, magic, fairies, a childish and naive way of storytelling... and I love to get it not only in Enchanted Forest but also in Storybrooke.

    ReplyDelete
  46. The increasingly bad acting of the kid who plays Henry is really putting a damper on my overall enjoyment of the show.

    ReplyDelete
  47. The thing that mainly annoys me about Henry is that he NEVER does what he's supposed to. he always does what he wants and there are absolutely NO repercussions or consequences. Next time he does it exactly the same, nobody seems to learn. And now the therapist even joins the insanity?? Why not just grab that little brat and take him out of that mine? It's not that hard...

    ReplyDelete
  48. I don't know, I think I'm done with the show, but I thought that before.
But there were so many insane and/or involuntarily ridiculous moments again. Henry's character and the kid playing him are big minus too. But one of the main problems I have is that nearly all decisions the characters in the real world make aren't reasonable.
I actually like that kind of Lost feeling the "flashbacks" (or whatever they are) to the fairy tale world create, but that won't be enough for me to stick around.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Keep in mind that the annoying kid does get credit for bringing Emma to the place, and that her presence is beginning to break the curse. MM and Prince are experiencing flashes of memory that are only possible because the realities are beginning to bleed into each other.

I'd call it a Flash Sideways.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I thought this episode was awesome. I loved the back story.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I love this show and how they are in their previous life.  I'm hoping for a Rumpelstiltskin/Mr. Gold episode on how he became to be that way.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hey Jini,i feel the same way! Maybe this episode wasn't great, and sure there were things that annoyed me.like who would ever put dynamite down a shaft, while the earth is already shaking because of Emma. Then to have it go off with Emma deferring to Regina? One minute Emma is taking charge of the situation, the next Regina is pulling the strings. There really are many other things that i can pick out about this episode, but i am watching a f a i r y t a i l  on T V !

We are not talking world affairs here, were not playing a game of Risk,we are talking about a wonderful little fairytail that we sit back and enjoy, for what its worth.I think there are many here who don't agree, and that's alright. To me this is just a little story thats being told for pure ejoyment, not to be analyzed, and dissected at every turn......

So Jini, lets sit back, relax and enjoy the ride! and may it be a long one!!  :)

    ReplyDelete
  53. This effing kid is sooo annoying!! The 2 minutes of Robert Carlyle in this episode are much more worth than all added scenes of that brat! Fast-forwarded through most of it.

    ReplyDelete
  54. You definitely aren't the only one. That kid is doing all the same §%!/ every week and even though we know he is right, the way he acts should someone living in Storybrook drive to either close him up in a mental institution or what not!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I assume his acting can't be as bad as how they conceptualized and written his character.

  57. Decent episode but not without some problems.

     - I don't mind Henry or the kid that plays him but his character needs to be dialed back or some adult character on the show has to take the bull by the horns and give this kid some boundaries because he doesn't have any.  This kid does whatever the hell he wants regardless of what he's told by anyone and that has got to stop.  Regina needs to hire a nanny to keep an eye on the kid at the very least.

     - In that entire crowd at the mine, I find it impossible to believe that no one had the common sense to tell people that using explosives was the absolute worst idea ever.  How stupid are these people?

     - I find it disheartening that two people had to die before Jiminy quit being a pansy.  Then again, turning into a cricket wasn't exactly a very mature way to handle his predicament anyway.  He and his patient almost died before he decided to finally grow a pair.

     - The Mary Margaret scenes were nice although I figured that David's wife would be annoyed with constantly finding her at his side by the end of the episode.  At least Mary did the right thing and created some distance between the two.

     - It's about time that they add some layers to Gold / Rumpelstiltskin, 'cause he's becoming a 2-dimensional boogieman.

  58. why is everyone on here so butthurt and overanalysing everything? it's a tv show...a FANTASY tv show. chill the hell out.

  59. It was my first thought as I watched the scene equating crickets with freedom. It felt so forced as I watched it that I thought to myself.. "Seriously... a cricket? Why not a bird, cat or dog?"

So no analysis went into the thought at the time... it was just reaction without analysis. The part replying to the previous comment was a little analysis though.

By the way I absolutely LOVED the Jiminy flashback scenes and thought they wee the best scenes of the night BY FAR! However I liked them because of his parents and the brilliant performances of Harry Groener and Carolyn Hennesy and not the story itself.

  60. Ha!
As the expression goes.... "Six of one, half a dozen of the other."

  61. Yeah,i basically said the same thing before. That is one thing they like doing here (on this site),and that's analyzing, and dissecting everything!   :)

  62. I agree,Henry does have a problem doing whatever he likes, but i think he has known for such a long time about storybrooke, and all that live there, that he has basically been a one boy army trying to locate his real mother, trying to get his therapist to believe him.Henry really didn't have anyone who believed or helped him...

I said the same thing about the crowd at the mine,i couldn't believe they used explosives, after the earth was already moving because of Emma.Did you also notice how one minute Emma was deferring to Regina, then the next she was taking charge?

And why didn't David's wife get annoyed or even ask Mary Margaret why she was always with her husband?

I happen to like Henry, maybe it's because i worked with deaf/blind kids i don't know, but most of the people have commented about it today. And i realize that i love this show,i am watching a fairy tail being told every week,i take it for what it is a tale,a fantasy! And i cannot wait for next Sunday night! :)

  63. I like Henry too and I don't even really mind his tenacity when it comes to the curse.

My problem is that he consistently does the most ridiculously dangerous and irresponsible things in his pursuit of the truth without any regard to the consequences and getting yelled at is the only repercussion he faces.  This kid dashes into unstable mines and runs away across state lines.  He needs constant supervision.  Both Regina and Emma have been very negligent in the care of this kid.

  64. Your right about that! Emma has not helped at all in that department, even when she tried, and Regina, well she yells big deal, that doesn't do  anything, and i haven't seen her try anything else?

  65. LOL Thanks -again!- Laura, have a sit please. ;-)

  66. Hi there, and welcome to the convo :)  Can you give me an example of the flashes your referring to?  I don't recall either MM or the Prince actually experiencing any flashes of their past memories.  Mr. Nolen has said he feels out of place in StoryBrooke.  But I don't remember there being any real flashes that would suggest that they are remembering the Enchanted Forest.  Or that the EF is bleeding into Storybrooke.  But you've got my curiosity piqued and if there are any I'd like to go back back and rewatch them.

  67. Mary is doing the right thing. If you looked at the final scene she was placing her resignation at the hospital as a volunteer. She is distancing herself from David.

  68. I disagree with what Storybrooke is. It is not the town itself which is affected. It is the people in the town. The physical reality of Storybrooke is the same as the surrounding areas in our world. How else would food be brought in or gasoline for vehicles. I did not see any oil wells or refineries in this town. Outside of Storybrooke can interact and have the same reality. Witness Henry leaving to bring Emma. So the physical reality is the same. The People now that is different. Their perception of themselves is changed. The question is now that Emma has arrived will the people start vaguely remembering a distant past?

  69. When MM first visited "John Doe" in the hospital, she just left a flower and walked away. The next time, she looked at him and kind of did a double take before leaving. A kind of "Where have I seen him before?" Meanwhile, JD, now known as Nolan, keeps telling MM things on the order of "There's something about you. It feels like we belong together."

  70. And why, knowing his habits, did Emma drop him off at his mom's office, leaving him unsupervised.
