  1. I missed dates on Marie's tombstone. It looked likes she's been around a long time.

  2. 1958-2011
So 52 or 53 years old, cancer-ridden and still kicking ass!

  3. Love this spin on Goldilocks! XD

"These woods are too big for the 2 of us....",  then get a Blutbot to pick up the scent! XD

Nick's girlfriend reminds me of Gabrielle Anwar at times..... Maybe the cheekbones and eyes? Not nearly as disgustingly sinewy as Anwar though thankfully!

I'm loving Monroe! I'm not sure following a possible killer down random hospital hallways and leaving Aunt Marie alone was too smart, but at least he chose a side and showed some loyalty! Plus it's nice to know he has  a code and removing limbs crosses the line! XD

I'm happy this show knows its limits! The VFX are "ok" for TV but they use them sparingly and at least in the first 2 episodes, shoot them from the correct angles or in shadows to not expose them.

I did think "Barry" was a little overkill for the Jaegerbar to be named! I hope TB was not named Teddy... seriously! XD

Sending a "priest" to assassinate Marie was just cold blooded! Dayaum!

I liked this episode a fair amount, but not as much as the pilot. I am digging the overall tone of the series though! It's dark but not overly so... Procedural, but still interesting to me.

The best part is despite some saying it's a Supernatural rip-off, it is NOTHING like SPN in my eyes. It has its own unique mythos and a completely different feel to it. Nick is not tracking evil and trying to kill it. He is trying to protect innocents from the "monsters" without killing them as the ultimate end goal. That is also something different than Buffy really. I find it different enough to not be a rip-off of either series.

  9. Aunt Marie was awesome.  I was kind of hoping she's be around to Giles Nick for a little while longer.  Loved that she took out that guy before she died.  Loved  Eddy.   I liked the way they worked in the Goldilocks story, despite the fact that it was predictable.  Entertaining and watchable (i'll dvr it)  but not must see tv for me.

  10. Most of them are from the German translation of The Brothers Grimm works. I suppose some were made up words originally since they are mythical creatures, but they are the historic German words used in folklore etc. As far as I know anyway.....

  11. Thanks!  My best friend is first generation German American.  She grew up with a version of the original stories (which her sister refused to read to her kids because they were so violent and disturbing.)  I see some fun research ahead for me.

  12. Monroe is the BEST character on the show............he is what is known as a scene stealer and he is incredible at it. I think he was the guy on Prison Break wasn't he. The cuckoo guy on the bicycle..I forget his name but he was great on that show too.............maybe his name was Haywire or something like that. Anyway I really like the show.......we need to learn more Grimm history.....so writers take us back in time. Okay ...................and writers lotsa Monroe!!!! He is a gem! He has great lines!

  14. :) I like it...I voted 'ok', the first too were good, just not great or awesome. I just feel that something is missing and I don't feel impatient to see what's next...but its still a nice way to spend an hour. I just wish it wasn't at the same time than SPN
