i was torn between ridiculously funny (because of the failure that was the chair stuff and the diagram [old chuck - unattractive!) and sad because of poor dan .. all in all the episode was average if anything
Awful episode, CB were predictable and stale, way too much Dianna and Charlie, not enough Dan and Sarena. This show is really going down the crapper fast.
Why do this? I was actually doing okay with Chair coming back around, but then they had Blair spend this whole episode as if she were season 2 Blair. She's pregnant with another man's kid (probably) for heaven's sake! Wanting to know she made the right decision is one thing; going about finding out by trying to seduce her ex is such a bad idea, I'm not even sure Teenage!Blair would've gone there. Well, okay, maybe she would've (maybe!), but she's mostly changed by now. Which is exactly the problem with Chair - they get too close, they show the worst in themselves. I thought the writers might be changing that with last week's apology. I guess I was wrong.
Blair needs to get over herself.. like YESTERDAY. not everything's about her.. but I loved seeing Chuck and Dorota working together, and I love that he really does care about her, even if he has to let her go.. especially when it pretty much destroys the hope of a friendship - it really was the most selfless thing he's done!
I did love the dream sequence at the beginning, though.. I'm always a fan of her Audrey Hepburn dreams :)
I loved Rufus's talk to Dan! So sweet and inspiring, I love it. Also if were Ivy I'd start thinking up a good plan and stop relying on Diana clearly she is screwing her over.
- I've never been more disappointed in Dan. I'm even more disappointed than when he fell for Georgina's baby scam and more disappointed than when he was being Serena's doormat. Sack up, stupid. - Chuck is doing TOO well. Something is going to break him. It's just a matter of time. - If Blair wasn't pregnant, I'd suggest that Dorota start learning to execute a sleeper hold. It's the only foolproof way to stop Blair from being self-destructive. - It's time to face facts. Nate being stupid is just Nate being Nate. - I think Charlie is finally realizing she's bitten off more than she can chew. I don't think I've ever felt sorry for a con artist before.
This is another situation where CB get something awesome - like a kiss - but the plot and the rest of the episode is so ridiculously contrived that it sucks out my enjoyment.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Love it where Chuck and Blair kiss..even for a moment
