    Looks pretty much like another filler episode, there shouldn't really be time for these in a 13 episode season :s

    This show often has misleading promos, what appears to be a filler ep in the trailer might actually turn out to be rather deep and thought-provoking

    It may be deep and thought provoking, but I'd much rather see an Elyan episode that tries to right what he failed to do last episode with his sister.  Here the best we can hope for is that he's at the shrine in the first place cos he feels guilty before some kind of magic takes the whole story over.

    Last weeks episode would have been far better for me if Gwen's betrayal wasn't down to her being mind controlled.  As it is, we all know that Merlin will work it all out (prob after finding the bracelet in the gaol) and she will be forgiven by the end of the season.  

    I thought that it was being shown in a later timeslot because it wanted to 'grow up' and gain a broader appeal.  If they don't explore the greys of real adult issues head on rather than treating the world as being completely black and white, then they may well as not bother.

    /mini rant.  Sorry, prob time of the month or something :p
