Dexter is accompanied by a fellow Dark Passenger on a trip to Nebraska to tie up past loose ends. Meanwhile, Debra's investigation into the Doomsday Murders is complicated by her lieutenant rank.

    So Lumen is in the next TWO episodes? (I think it's safe to assume it's Lumen).

     I think it's Dexter's brother...but, he will be a figment of his imagination (just like Dexter's dad is). There have been a few little nods to him this season. I think it's inevitable.

    That's who I'm thinking it will be, it'd be more meaningful too if it was Dexter's brother over Lumen.

    but didnt they say it was a ghost returning atleasst thats what it sounded like so i dont think its lumen but anything is possible i guess

    its Jonah not Lumen, there was a picture of dexter brain and jonah on set back in the summer, it got removed tho.

    It has to be his brother as an imaginary figure because of the nods to season one this year, BUT, one of the clues were: someone who hasn't been gone long, so I'm confused.

    The clues say the the Major spoiler for a return character say it's a she, that it might be a ghost, it's not a certain blond, whomever it is hasn't been gone long, and it will bring out a mixture of emotions from the fans.
    I have no idea who it will be... But hopefully not Lumen! Would be could if it were Biney! Or Doakes!

    The clues specifically say that it is not Lumen because she hasn't been gone long. The returning character has been gone a long time and is a male. It's Brian and you can take that to the bank.

    The clue was eliminating Lumen. She hasn't been gone for long, so don't expect a pretty blonde. Meaning Lumen hasn't been gone for long, so don't expect her. 

    It is Brian 100%

    I don't get your take that it's a male from that clue?  I think it's saying that it's someone who hasn't been gone very long, Brian has been gone AGES, lol.  I took that clue to mean it wasn't Rita (pretty blonde) since she had been gone a long time.

    Either Laura Moser (alive or dead, but alive would be better), Lumen, or Lila (in spirit) have some buisness in Nebrassca...or more than one since Ausellio tells us "not Lumen", while other clues from other spoilers suggest other wise???

    If you check the crew listing on IMDb for episode 7 of season 6
    ("Nebraska"), you'll notice that a certain actor/actress has a stunt
    double. I don't want to reveal in this comment whose stunt double it is, in case
    people don't want to be spoiled here. If you wish to know though, take a
    peek at the crew listing for "Nebraska" (ep 7 of this season). :)

    Unless Ghost Brian talks Dexter into killing innocent people left and right, this is not a big deal. Dexter already had conversations with Ghost Brian in season 2 and he's already killed innocent people.

    They're building this up in an attempt to distract from the fact that they are once more holding off on having Deb find out, which is the only thing most people are still watching for.

    I don't watch for that either. Don't get me wrong, if that happens it will surely change the show and perhaps the writers can take more from Lindsay, but honestly I watch for Dexter's own development, to see if he can make it...to see if he can save himself in some way, or come to understand himself and attempt to love others better. 

    I love the dynamics of all of the other characters too, and I really feel the writers have been tying things together much better starting with season 4!
