Being Erica - Likely to be renewed for a 5th season?

CBC recently posted a new contest where The Grand Prize consists of a walk-on-role in the Fall 2012 season of Being Erica the(“Program”).
However there was also a note:
In the event that Being Erica is not renewed for the Fall 2012 season, the
walk-on-role will become a 15 second taped segment with one of the primary actors from
the show, to air in the spring / summer of 2012. Specific date to be determined by CBC.

BBC Worldwide recently stated that Being Erica is such a huge success for them (their number 1 international series) that they could renew it for season 5 even without support from CBC.

    I think I saw a series of comments earlier about how it would be disappointing if they ran past their "planned" season 4 ending, but honestly, I think there are still more stories worth telling. Erica is still only a doctor in training, seeing her become a full doctor would be interesting.

    Welcome to our commercial world in the USA Paul. XD

    It's so annoying to watch any show live when more then 25% of the episode is commercials. It would be one thing if the majority came at the front and back end of the episode, but of course they all come DURING the episode.

    Here we have PBS (Public Broadcasting System) which broadcasts many shows from BBC or ITV etc. Luckily they front load most of the commercials or play them after the episode ends for the most part. Every other network excluding premium cable channels just sucks (regarding commercials)!

    Well, if they renew, that seems to be the only way to start since they (spoiler) re-introduced her in the season finale... and then who knows. There's always the possibility of Dr. Tom coming back in a completely different standing.

    i want a season 5 so bad, please Being erica is a therapy to all of us, im so tired of those superficial tvshows, this one actually had lessons to be learn, plus i am really curious to see the whole dinamic between "dr.erica" and sarah, her dream to write a book, i still feel so much is to be tell

    I think it would be interesting to see how she handles it because it's doctor Tom's daughter. Mostly why I believe it'll be interesting: because Dr. Tom Wexler isn't allowed to see or speak to anyone from therapy that he has worked with, yet ironically Erica ended up with Sarah. 
    I do however think this was planned in hoping to convince the network to renew it for a 5th season. 

    Also if they do come back for a 5th season, I'm dying to know how Erica will keep hidden the fact that Sarah's father was HER therapist and more! Ahh the plot THICKENS!

    This show has changed my life~seriously! Please Please Please have a season 5, I don't care who picks it up, but if CBC drops it they will be making a huge mistake...Erica is just beginning, right?! Let's see where she takes us now!!!

    Incredibly great show. It really discovered me a lot of interesting things. And I think there are ways for Erice to move on and to grow up. I'd really like to see the story of Dr. Tom's daughter and other characters. I will hope for 5 season.

    I don't see a s5 happening but it even with their planned ending, its more than possible to have a s5. All the characters would still be there, minus Leo maybe, but even Dr. Tom would still be present because we would be delving into Sarah's past and he would be a huge part of it. And then we'd be able to see Erica progress as a Doctor. The only thing that would disappoint me would be Erica's relationship story lines. I like how it ended with her being with Adam, and another season would obviously mess with that a little bit. I'd also like to see where Brulianne would go, as well as Sam and Lenin, and Erica's parents....Geez, there's just so much more to this show that I would like to see! Especially more Doctors, that would be awesome...Wishful thinking, but oh well.

    I always thought she was meant to be with Ethan. I love Adam a lot but Ethan was her soul mate! They made that loud and clear and it came to a far more abrupt halt than I thought it would.

    OMG..... Im crying im so happy! This is my all time fav show!!!!     Make a season 5 and call it Dr. Erica where we see her help her patients coz we all want to see how it goes for her for at least one season! And maybe see will get to see Dr.Tom in a episode or so just so he knows she is his daughters Dr :)

    Yeah, and given that she became such good friends with Dr Tom, how will Erica remain unbiased when Sarah is talking about the problems she had with her Dad?
