Syfy is developing an otherworldly drama called The Communion Letters.
The project is adapted by Jonathan Gruber (Kyle XY) and Dave Matalon from the book edited by Whitley Strieber and Anne Strieber. The book is a compilation of letters describing first-person encounters with aliens that were sent to Whitley in response to his alleged abduction by ‘non-humans’, Communion (1987).
There’s a dearth of alien drama series on TV at the moment so The Communion Letters might represent a good chance for network to put the sci-fi back in their name.

That picture is creepy.
ReplyDeleteSounds pretty interesting! I may check this out.
I tend to like the alien abduction genre more than alien invasion for TV series I think.
ReplyDeleteThis could be something fun ....

ReplyDeleteit the SyFy channel. I want my sci-fi back, they had great programming period. Okay this actually could prove interesting,i will check it out.
SyFy doing SciFi, imagine that, XD. Sounds interesting and I will check it out whenever it comes out..
ReplyDeleteHa!
ReplyDeletesounds like it could be pretty interesting
ReplyDeleteI think abduction works far better too, there's lots of great scenes that come to mind from shows such as X-Files to ones like The Simpsons. Much more fun than V or The Event imo, lol.
ReplyDeleteI also agree that it's a great concept for Syfy, they seem to make too many special/advanced power shows (Sanctuary, Eureka, Alphas, etc) rather than good old fashioned alien encounters. Will be a refreshing change, I'm looking forward to this a lot :D
