That jumped out at me too. There's a comment in one of the articles that they can't call their old friends for help because they're trying to hide from the Leviathan, so I guess that explains it (maybe). I have a theory about this. About a month back there was a spoiler about Sam and Dean being seen on the set robbing a bank. Now that we know the Leviathan can shape-shift, maybe they take Sam and Dean's form and rob the bank so that that Sam and Dean are wanted by the police. They wouldn't be able to call Bobby because they were wanted by the authorities and because Bobby wouldn't know if it was the real Sam and Dean or the Leviathan.
I'm not sure about the shifting theory, it look like the Leviathans want to kill them and they seem to need to touch people to take their form. If the levi can be close enough to the boys to take their form, why not just kill them?
This season is going to be most excellent! I love the Sam wall crumbling storyline, but feel sorry for Dean because of the situation that Cas has put himself in. Bobby should be ok and I hope will be around for a good long time. Awesome season so far!
Back to Sam and Dean on the road, by themselves, looking after each other, using their wiles to get out of trouble and having to stich themselves up when they get wounded.
Thanks so much for both of these, really interesting articles, both of which have made me insanely excited for the rest of the season! It's great to hear the J's talking about how the boys are going to have to rely on each other more, and how they genuinely want to take care of each other again, which I don't think we've seen properly since S3 (a little bit at the end of S5, and much closer in the second half of S6, but nothing to compare with earlier seasons).
Also, very interesting to hear more about how the boys are going to have police trouble this season, I was wondering how they were going to work that in after years of them seemingly off the police radar, but that makes a lot of sense. I also feel much happier about this wedding episode having heard the boys talk about it, as I was a bit worried about where they were going with that at first, but by the sounds of things, it's going to be a wedding of Supernatural causes. Any bets on which one of the guys gets to be the groom? :)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
