-Ratings Breakdown:
Green Bay vs. Atlanta on Sunday Night Football led NBC to overnight victory, with a 20 percent advantage over second-place CBS. Next was deteriorating ABC, followed by last-place Fox, which replaced the rained out Major League Baseball game with encore telecasts of The Cleveland Show and The X Factor.

The football match-up on NBC averaged an approximate 14.0 rating/22 share in primetime (from 8:30-11 p.m.), with the half-hour breakdown as follows:

Sunday Night Football (NBC)
8:30 p.m.: 13.4/21 (#1)
9:00 p.m.: 14.2/22 (#1)
9:30 p.m.: 13.8/21 (#1)
10:00 p.m.: 14.0/22 (#1)
10:30 p.m.: 14.6/24 (#1)

Needless to say, this should be good for over 20-million viewers. Earlier in the evening on NBC was pre-game Football Night in America as follows:

Football Night in America (NBC)
7:00 p.m.: 1.8/ 3 (#3)
7:30 p.m.: 5.0/ 9 (#2)
8:00 p.m.: 8.5/14 (#2)

Individual program results on CBS, which featured approximately 40-minutes of a primetime football overrun, appear as follows:

CBS/Sunday
7:00 p.m.: Football / 60 Minutes – 14.9/26 (#1)
7:30 p.m.: 60 Minutes – 11.2/19 (#1)
8:00 p.m.: 60 Minutes – 9.4/15 (#1)
8:30 p.m.: 60 Minutes / The Amazing Race – 7.2/11 (#2)
9:00 p.m.: The Amazing Race – 7.0/10 (#2)
9:30 p.m.: The Amazing Race / The Good Wife – 7.5/11 (#2)
10:00 p.m.: The Good Wife – 7.6/12 (#2)
10:30 p.m.: The Good Wife / CSI: Miami – 6.7/11 (#2)

In week three news, Pan Am on ABC lost more steam, with a third-place 5.2/ 8 in the overnights at 10 p.m. Comparably, that was down by 10 percent from one week earlier, with retention out of fading lead-in Desperate Housewives (#3: 6.2/ 9 – down 28 percent from 10/10/10) of 84 percent. One year earlier, former time period occupant Brothers & Sisters averaged a 6.4/10. Three-week overnight track for Pan Am:

9/25/11: 8.7/14
10/02/11: 5.8/10
10/09/11: 5.2/ 8

Earlier in the evening on ABC was long-running America’s Funniest Home Videos (#3: 4.0/ 7) and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (#3: 4.5/ 7) from 7-9 p.m. As a reminder, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition moves into the Friday 8 p.m. hour on Oct. 21. New drama Once Upon a Time steps into the time period on Oct. 23.

Over at Fox, the network replaced game 2 of the American League Championship Series with two repeat episodes of animated The Cleveland Show (#4: avg. 1.4/ 3 from 7-8 p.m.) and two encore hours of The X Factor (#4: 1.9/ 3 from 8-10 p.m.).

  7. I read something interesting about Revenge...

Only the first 13 episodes or half the season will deal with Amanda/ Emily Thorn's revenge... after that it will be the murder investigation.
