Mos Def's character was interesting, will he be some kind of spiritual guide for Dexter this season? Coincidentally I listened to Mos Def a couple of times when I went for my run.
Didn't care for Batista and LaGuerta, but having Geoff Pierson appear is always a plus. The whole Deb/Quinn story was also rather uninteresting. And why the hell would Quinn come to Dexter for help? He was sure this guy is a killer, they have never been friends. Who would ask such a guy about a marriage proposal to his sister?
And we also didn't get a lot of news about Hanks & Olmos which was a pity.
I'm loving how the season is shaping up thus far. -Major instigation with Deb being promoted to Lt before Batista. -The dynamic between Hanks and Olmos is VERY intriguing to me.... I still wonder if Olmos is dead and he is Hanks version of "Harry".-Mos Def most definitely added something to the season too! The actor and the role... adding a new mirror Dexter can gaze into and see a reflection of himself. The Harrison side story is funny, but not all that interesting to me. Much like Quinn in general. The less LaGuerta the better so I hope her role gets smaller and smaller since she is not the immediate boss of the precinct anymore.
- Deb's reaction to being offered the promotion had me laughing hysterically. - I thought Quinn was totally whipped by Deb until he broke it off. - Brother Sam was really great. I find it hilarious that Dexter has always written better stuff for their guest stars than they have for their supporting characters like LaGuerta and Batista. - Hanks and Olmos continue to be creepy and I'm guessing the sister is headed for a bad end.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Anyone who gives an episode of Dexter an "awful" rating is just being ridiculous.
ReplyDeletewell unless its an episode of season 5 which i didnt like that season but i agree Dexter is one of the best shows on TV
ReplyDeleteInteresting episode. Curious to find out what the religinuts are up to and how Deb/Dex is going to deal with them.
ReplyDeleteThere always are and always will be some guys voting awful for some shows. Childish for sure, but nothing you can change.
ReplyDeleteGreat Episode
ReplyDeleteGood, but definitely not awesome.
