    I think the title might just be a reference to the film 'Get Carter' about a gangster out to avenge his brother's death. Well 2 movies by the same name I guess - 1971 with Michael Caine and 2001(?) with Sylvester Stallone.

    Exactly.   Now, my question is - does this mean that Reese and Finch are going to try and stop Carter's investigation or is there someone actually out to get Carter?

    If I had to guess, Carter's investigation will lead her down a path that is just a little too close to some big bad in the NYC crime underground and Reese and Finch will have to intervene. Save her without letting her realize they are saving her...

    But honestly, I have no idea where the episode goes and have not watched nay of the previews....
