Thanks to Lilah for the heads up.
The NCIS: Los Angeles team will be dealt quite a blow toward the end of November sweeps, when a botched assignment forces Hetty to winnow their ranks by one, TVLine has learned exclusively.
“Hetty drags out the dreadful chopping block, sharpens the blade, and she takes off Deeks’ head — figuratively,” executive producer Shane Brennan tells us of the episode airing Nov. 22, on CBS. “Yes, Deeks is fired.”

well i guess she has no choice he must do something really bad if hetty fires him
ReplyDeleteno deeks no ncis la!
ReplyDeleteGood news !! Although Deeks provides humor at times I often find him annoying and pointless and so having him off the show even for a little while is refreshing !
ReplyDeleteNah,i don't believe it will last.Just long enough for this to happen during sweeps, then when they strech it out until sometime in January.
ReplyDeleteI guess, but still... He's my favourite! Hope it won't last long.
ReplyDeleteNO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!! This cannot be happening!! Deeks better not be gone permanently. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER!!
ReplyDeleteOn second thought: It probably has something to do with November Sweeps. As I am not American I'm not sure how true my next statement would be. But I believe it might be a ploy for TPTB to get more viewers and to have us all on tender hooks waiting to see what happens next.
i hope not i like Deeks
ReplyDeleteso does this mean hes off the show in November sweeps then?
ReplyDeleteNO! I like Deeks!
ReplyDeleteWebsite wont let me edit. Had another thought: This might be a way of getting Deeks to be a full time NCIS Agent. Although I don't know how that's going to come about considering Hetty fired him from NCIS not the LAPD.
ReplyDeleteNO WAY! I'm so not liking Hetty right now! To fire my favourite!
ReplyDeleteIt's a sweep episode, this is just for ratings. I don't think it will work though, unless the episodes leading up to them are stronger. I thought Shane said this season we would learn more about all the characters?
ReplyDeleteThe season hasn't finished yet. There will probably be more character stuff in the second half of the season.
ReplyDeleteLemme guess. Deeks was suspected of stealing from the evidence lock-up and is stripped of his badge and Internal Affairs has him go undercover as a thug to catch some dirty cops to get his badge back. Wait. I'm thinking of the wrong show. Deeks is a skinny Korean girl, right?
ReplyDeleteI hope so because that is what Shane said last year about a certain character and it never happened... And really there is some decent competition out there, if all they do is focus on 1 or two characters and give us mostly random crime of the week eps this rating ploy isn't going to cut it. The episodes leading up to it need to be pretty good or it won't make a difference.
ReplyDeleteLol, yeah I was thinking that too. I hope it doesn't turn out exactly like that.
ReplyDeleteNo no no no no!!!!!!! I love him, he's the reason I watch!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree, I guess he could be fired but still a regular.
ReplyDeleteWHAT?! You can't get rid of Deeks!
ReplyDeleteI am really hoping this is just a temporary thing. He's a series regular, why they'd let him go makes no sense at all. I know ECO is getting married but unless it's happening very soon that wouldn't be a reason to let him go, even for awhile. Maybe we see him back at LAPD or he's just gone for a few episodes? Oh this is going to kill me not knowing. Deeks is my favorite character next to Kensi, I'd be extremely disappointed if he left the show permanently, especially all the build up they've had w/K&D.
ReplyDeleteCould someone explain what is the importance of "sweeps"?
ReplyDeleteOr even what it means?
:O Oh no! They can't first Deeks!! I bet Kensi will have something to say about it! xD
