  3. This is going to sound weird but it had too many "man" emotions. It is very stereotypical of TV shows to leave the emoting to the female characters and save the male emotions for the climactic scenes.  It's just the way TV was written since long ago. It may not be right, but that's what I was exposed to. Grey's used to work for me with a good mix of laughs, turmoil, calamity and a small dose of VERY BIG action. Music was interwoven beautifully into some stories. I think they are going away from that. I know it isn't ER but it was too soft for me.

The ratings look good, but I can see football in the future for me.

  4. I'm sorry I don't understand your point. Are you talking about the episode or the whole show/season? Right from the start this show has always been written from the female perspective. And it's always had what you might call 'man' emotions. In that respect nothing has changed. And the irony is that in this episode Alex was a complete ass, Owen simply wanted sex to avoid talking about emotions, Jackson was absent and Mark and Derek were bored. The only one vaguely tapping into his emotions was Richard in a very roundabout way trying to find some purpose.  What 'man' emotions are you referring to?

  7. i can respect that opinion.  Never really saw the "man" emotion as a negative.  Its refreshing I guess to see men be vulnerable and emotional about important aspects of their lives.  More often then not we get a depiction of men as stern and robotic if u will with their emotions.  For me its always nice to see an alternate view b/c heir are men who can be emotional at times.  I find that at least for the last two episodes it was very balanced and was reminiscent of early Grey's.  I do appreciate alternate views and perspectives, so thanks for responding.
