Fringe - This weeks episode could be pushed back

26 Oct 2011

Thanks to Doug for the heads up.

The new episode of Fringe this week could be pushed to next week, Game 6 of the World Series was canceled and is rescheduled for Thursday and if the Cardinals win, Game 7 would be Friday.

Thought I would pass along the possibility of this happening just to give Fringe fans a heads up so it doesn't take them by surprise.

  1. okay is this really happening? when will we know for sure?

  2. you have got to be kidding!!!!!!!!!! but peter's back, haven't they heard??????????

    ReplyDelete
  3. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fuck you baseball

    ReplyDelete
  4. You'll know for sure tomorrow night. If you see that the Rangers won the world series Fringe is on, if you see that the Cardinals won that means Game 7 will happen and no Fringe this week.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Everyone just has to cheer for the Texas Rangers to win so there is no Game 7!

    ReplyDelete
  6. *yells numerous expletives*

What is this horrendous absurdity?! I want a baseball bat, and not to hit a baseball with.

    ReplyDelete
  7. this is not good for Fringe. Especially not when people don't know about this and expect a new episode and then it's not on. I believe Fringe could use all the regular airing with no bumps in the road it can get tbh

    ReplyDelete
  8. The rain delay for game 6 is official (http://atmlb.com/s9JlVZ).

So we will know for sure after tomorrow's game. If the Cardinals win, no Fringe this week.

    Go Rangers!

  9. If Fringe get pre-empted, it is going to completely screw up the schedule. The Fringe "Fall Season Finale" was supposed to fall during the last week of Nov Sweeps, but if everything get's pushed back a week, it will be the week after sweeps. I shudder to think at the other options...

    ReplyDelete
  10. Damn it baseball, first you're boring as snot, now you're messing with Fringe!

    ReplyDelete
  11. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    ReplyDelete
  12. I guess if it gets pushed back the fall finale would have to be the first week of December, I can't imagine they have anything else to put in that slot (unless its more boring sport)

    ReplyDelete
  13. Now I'm a very bad girl who wishes the Cardinals just will lose Thursday. Please !

    ReplyDelete
  14. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

    ReplyDelete
  15. lol Well, do the Rangers have a good chance at winning? I don't follow the slightest thing with baseball.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I feel like ripping my own head off...

    ReplyDelete
  17. Damn the Cardinals we want to see the Bishop

    ReplyDelete
  18. I just loathe how much baseball affects Fringe.

    ReplyDelete
  19. You have got to be kidding me! NO WAY! So hate this Game right now, even though I have no idea what that actually is!

    ReplyDelete
  20. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Baseball fans can find an internet stream if they're so keen to watch that!

    ReplyDelete
  21. noooooooooooo
I hope that we get the episode on Friday, I really do.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'm not completely certain, but wasn't "Novation" promoted for November 4 from the start? I could almost swear it...

    ReplyDelete
  23. ...no way.

    (Go Texas Rangers!!!)

    ReplyDelete
  24. I waited for this for so long hope it airs this Friday ..

    ReplyDelete
  25. Reading this headline I said "oh fuck off" out loud to my laptop screen.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Stupid Baseball....

    ReplyDelete
  27. It better bloodywell not be I hate sport at the best of times and it does my head in when they cancel the telly for a stupid game i dont actually like or understand! Seriously cant they put it on a sport channel where it doesnt bother me?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Rain delay? They cant play cos its raining, its as bad as cricket the big girls blouses.... where have all the real men gone?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Sorry.  As much as I am looking forward to Fringe this week, and quite frankly I'm looking more forward to it than Supernatural, there's no way I root against the Cardinals. Go Cards!  Even if you mess with the most anticipated episode of the month.

I know, how about we all root for rain on Friday.  That way the game can't be played, Fringe can air, and St. Louis can still take home the World Series.

    ReplyDelete
  30. No way.  I am not really a fan of baseball but if there is a game seven it will be the first game 7 in almost 10 years.  It will be one of the bigger sports night in the US and it will generate over a million dollars for the city of St. Louis.  Believe me, we need the money.  I say pray for rain Friday night and then the game will be postponed again.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Relax guys doesn't Fringe air late enough?  A World Series run-in to a new episode of Fringe would probably help ratings immensely.  They did something similar with the Super Bowl and Alias as I recall...

    ReplyDelete
  32. It wouldn't be a run-in...they're talking about pulling the episode for the week.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Oh, f****!!!!!!!

Hope Rangers win!!! I am from Spain, so I dont know anything about this teams but... It is possible for Rangers to win??? Are they good??

    ReplyDelete
  34. Nooo! Another week is too much to bear! :(

    ReplyDelete
  35. I love that we all have a 'virtual' place to come and scream. God knows my METS weren't going to be in the series this year, but that would have softened the blow to this news. LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  36. This is just stupidly ridiculous! Can't they leave Baseball for a Saturday? Why I tell you! WHY! I'm not a baseball fan anyways, so they can just leave me alone... *Shh, go Rangers* To say that games get cancelled because of rain is just laughable to me... I come from a state that has plenty of it and we play the game in the rain...

    ReplyDelete
  37. Well what a sad news =(

    ReplyDelete
  38. noooo!!! im going to bee sooo upset if this happennss!!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I will be so pissed off. Lets pray to the baseball gods that the Cardinals lose, sorry, but i just don't want to have to wait another week!!!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Oregon i assume?

    ReplyDelete
  41. What the f***?!?! Why?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Nonononoonoooooooo!! they can't do this! :(

    ReplyDelete
  43. The prospect of another hiatus week does suck but I think Fringe is better off taking the week off anyway.  Fringe's ratings are low enough as it is so there's no sense in the show going up against the premieres of NBC's Chuck and Grimm.

I want to see the new episode as much as anyone but I don't believe waiting another week will be bad for the show.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Its possible, but it seems the world series runs longer because the itself usually runs longer. Then what ever team wins goes carzy on the field, then the fans join in.That alone could run another half hour or more. Then you have the players going wild and crazy in the locker room drinking what ever, pouring it onthere heads then they interview the players, the general manager, owner. Then the losing team, and manager gets  interviewed ,that of course doesn't run a half hour because they lost, and they are to bummed out to talk. Then no.not done yet,the announcers get there turn, they ramble on for awhile, then the camera pans to the field so you can see the idiots that are still on the field. Now,no not yet, they go outside to get the fans reactions that last a few minutes, then the announcers comes back on to say a few more words,Then and only then is when it ends. Now with all of this factor in the commericals......I don't think they will have the time to run Fringe.

    ReplyDelete
  45. The funny thing would be if Cardinals and Rangers would say: "There`s no way we`re gonna play until we see this week`s Fringe. Peter is back for God`s sake!!!" :-D

    ReplyDelete
  46. Totallyaddicted00527 October 2011 at 00:32

    Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I'd like to see Oregon cancel a Duck's game or something because of rain, nevermind baseball. That would be hilarious.

    ReplyDelete
  48. But Peter's back!! I'm not in the US so don't really understand the baseball stuff but I don't think I can wait an extra week for Fringe.

    ReplyDelete
  49. This guy = not a true Fringe fan

    ReplyDelete
  50. Actually this woman = from St. Louis, as in the St. Louis Cardinals, and has a job largely based on the local economy such as sales tax.  As someone who likes being employed,

    ReplyDelete
  51. Come on now, If this was the College football National championship, and Bama was playing I'd be saying the same thing. But since it ain't....

    Go Rangers!!!! Sorry Dahne

    ReplyDelete
  52. Unfortunately baseball begins at 7:05 CST and Fringe begins at 8:00 CST.  Baseball games can last until 11:00 CST sometimes, especially with the World Series.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Fringe fans live in Texas too! Go Rangers! :)

    ReplyDelete
  54. This not gooood at all! I mean if they push the episode for another week... There are  also none base-ball fans who wanna watch something else.

    ReplyDelete
  55. The Rangers had a slightly better record this season, so yeah, it's possible.

I think I'll actually watch the game tomorrow, seeing as how I suddenly care about who wins because of this.

    ReplyDelete
  56. LOL!

I'm from New Zealand and don't know the first thing about baseball but all of a sudden I'm a massive Rangers supporter... Go Rangers!! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  57. nonono.. how frustrating. damn you amr tv schedules!

  58. nonono. how frustrating. damn you amr tv schedule

  59. I have to say that american sport baseball or football are litlle pussys , in europe we play at snow, rain or even at 40 C° soo they can screw them selfs and GOOOOOO FRINGE !!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  60. I'm with you here, a rainy Friday is the most conciliatory solution! Plus, there's no better formula than rain + couch + blanket + Fringe!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Congrats on the Cards and I hope they win the whole thing and you get to go to a parade. We had that good fortune in 2005 when the White Sox won. Fun.

    ReplyDelete
  62. *LOL* I soo agree {I live in the Netherlands BTW} and you're sooo right!!!
    ^^;

    ReplyDelete
  63. I understand why you would get that impression, but games aren't delayed for the players' sake. It's more about the owners' and league's fear of liability if someone gets injured due to the weather conditions - either a player or a fan. It probably also includes some element of concern about profitability, although I am certainly no expert there.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Maybe they'll have a two hour event now. But still Go Rangers!!!

    ReplyDelete
  65. I don't care who wins.I say give international niewwers the episode they've been waiting for for the last 2 weeks and you can all watch baseball!

Come on now seriously? What about saturday or Sunday?
Can't the episode at least air on Saturday ? Make some changes people!Give us fringe FINALLY!!!

    ReplyDelete
  66. I hate Baseball, but Saturday, and Sunday is reserved for the real sport. Football!! and I don't mean soccer.

But Yeah I know what you mean here. Heck i'd wait up till 3 in the AM to see it if I had to.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I hope this is not happening, I don't want to wait another week

    ReplyDelete
  68. Oh heavens above!
But but! Peter's back and all these promo's and stuff have been getting released and and it'll be very anticlimactic when you're expecting it on the Friday and it's not even on!

    ReplyDelete
  69. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Cardinals won :'(

    ReplyDelete
  70. I wouldn't normally have watched this game but what a game but I guess that means we have to wait another week.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Actually Football is a rain or shine, sleet or snow game. Lightning is the only thing that stops football, and that is only if there are known strikes happening around the field. The Reason Baseball stops is because of the dirt in the infield. The are funny about their dirt not getting wet, so I guess you are right about baseball, but Football ain't no pussy sport. And I don't mean soccer.

Real Football is played with hands ;-P

  72. When Fringe is on there it's about 3.30-4.30 am here.I wake up every Saturday morning at 3.30 (without an ararm clock I might add!) to see live tweets about the episode. Then I go back to sleep and wake up after about 2 hours(on a Saturday morning-as in a no-school day!) to download the episode so no problem on the hours for me!

  73. The Rangers had a slightly better record this season, so yeah, it's definitely possible.

I think I'll actually watch the game tomorrow, seeing as how I suddenly care about who wins because of this.

  75. I'd like to see Oregon cancel a Duck's game or something because of rain, nevermind baseball. That would be hilarious.

  78. What the fuck?!?! Why? Are the baseball gods working with the Observers?
