    While it's really hard for me to pick amongst Gus, Lassiter, and Juliet, I think I'm going to go with Lassister as my favorite, because I overly identify with him, flaws and all.

    Then again, I may never have been watching Psych as it's intended.  I'm watching The Gus Is Awesome, and Lassiter and Juliet Should Have Adorkable Babies Show.

    Although I deeply enjoy Gus and Shawn's relationship and banter, Gus' nerdiness, Shawn's sense of childlike thrill in daily life, Juliet's strong, yet quirky character, Henry's dedication and obsession with keeping all the little things Shawn made as a child, Buzz's unassuming attitude, and even Chief Viick's Phil Collin's-loving heart;


    I must pick Detective Lassiter. His social awkwardness is endearing, his competitive streak understandable on one level--nearing comic on another, and the few times we've seen him vulnerable (esp. "From the Earth to the Starbucks," "Tuesday the 17th," and Lassie Did a Bad, Bad Thing") gave his character so much depth that we still have yet to fully explore. I love to see Lassie happy, no matter the reason, and it's usually a fairly odd one. I like to see him feel anything. He astounds me.

    While I love all the Psych characters, Lassiter is by far my favourite. His pain, his inability to understand social protocol, and his competitive side, they make him one of the most interesting characters on TV!
