No SPN ratings? Although I know they don't do great in the women's demo.
ReplyDeleteJust as I said in my other post. You couldn't compare GG to 90210 just yet. I said it would flip flop and it has and GG has come out on top this week. I'm not saying it will continue that way, but I believe they will continue to go up and down this list all season. I just hope GG gets a final season 6 to wrap up all the storylines. All the contracts are up and I don't see any of the actors renewing nor do I see the CW offering more money for them to remain.
ReplyDeleteits down to 0.5 from 0.9 last week same rating as Nikita now (it used to be ahead)
ReplyDelete90210 is killing Ringer. It's free falling and it's taking Ringer down with it. I knew this pairing would be trouble. Most people just DVR Ringer now. The standard numbers are deceiving (18-49 demo, total viewers). When you just take those into account, Ringer looks better than Gossip Girl but that's not really the case. The CW needs to find away to stabilize this show.
ReplyDeleteTariqq, great post. I like these. Keep 'em coming.
is W18-34 really revelvant anymore since Dawn Ostroff is gone? and Mark Pedowitz is president this could be bad nes for shows like Gossip Girl and 90210 he might focus more on A18-49 rather then W18-34
ReplyDeletethey will sell for each show for what profits them more im sure 1.5 W 18-34 sells for more than 0.7 A 18-49 on the other hand i guess Nikita, Supernatural and Ringer might sell for 18-49
ReplyDeleteSo happy for Hart of Dixie! One of my new favorites shows this season!
ReplyDeleteI never really liked 90210 but still watched. Gave this season a shot and stopped watching all together after the premiere.
ReplyDeleteHart of Dixie is so cute.
ReplyDeletemmmm I'm really worried about NIkita... I really like the show!!
ReplyDeleteThe new president said Supernatural would have a season 8 depending on the ratings. I seriously think the show was doing better on Thursday night.
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to panic yet about Supernatural. Ratings go up and down as a season of a show progresses so I'll wait until every episode has been aired to really start to wonder about if the show will make it to next season. I honestly doubt it because I can't believe such an huge international fan base don't give a lot of profit to the CW. That's just my guess though. I hardly understand ratings really.
ReplyDeleteI like Nikita too...
ReplyDeleteI just expected it to get cancelled this season after they threw Michael and Nikita together and blew out Division. It just seemed to go downhill from that point last year and really has not gone up again.
It was a much better series the first half of last year...
Dawn O's CW was thought to use the W18-49 demo but a lot of sites questioned that. We can't make the same assumption of the new president. He wants to go outside that demo. The Adult 18-49 demo would be more telling since they seemed to follow that for renewals last year.
ReplyDeletewell, I've only seen the first of the 2nd season, so I can't say much, but I liked the first season! I saw an episode on tv last year, I think it was one in the middle season, and it made me want to see it completely, which I did then :P now I have to catch up with the 2nd one! :)
ReplyDeletelast years cancellations made sense in terms of W 18-34 also they will use whatever demos get them more money and something like Gossip Girl stands out in the women demos and its value will always be considered in terms of that (+ itunes, international, dvd sales)
ReplyDeleteDeliriously happy about H8R and 90210, and equally surprised/disappointed about Supernatural and, I suppose since I don't like it, Hart of Dixie. But, being in Europe, it's hard to keep track of what programmes they're each up against.
ReplyDeleteWhich part of pursuing a Sex and the City prequel and greenlighting crap like H8Rs makes people think that they are abandoning the W18-34?
ReplyDeleteObviously it's STILL the target demo.
