I just finished watching this and it has some interesting elements to it but I can't see this being a ongoing series. Maybe a mini series but not a long term show. That would make it way too drawn out and boring. Sorry everybody but I don't know how to download it so I can't help anyone with that.
ReplyDeleteI just finished watching it and I for one am definitely going to watch this show. I'm happy I decided to look into it after all a couple of months ago when I actually already said I wouldn't. I liked how the story was told and I think the cast has been put together very well - although they could have at least made a tiny effort to make the characters in the flashback look a liiiiittle younger than 19 years later.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm happy to see especially Emily VanCamp and Nick Wechsler back on screen. And also Marc Blucas - I'm hoping for many more flashbacks so we get to see more of him. I really think he's a really good actor and I enjoy seeing him a lot. I wish they would have cast him for a role that's still alive *g*
As it's been said before, though, it could get boring soon. I hope it won't, because I really liked the pilot a lot, so I'm hoping for interesting twist and turns that will make this show interesting beyong just one season. Anyhow, I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

ReplyDeleteA good and strong pilot. I really like the introduction of the characters, all the flashbacks and the development of the plot. Emily Van camp is really great. We'll see how it will do with the ratings, i hope it will become a good series

ReplyDeleteI thought the pilot was PHENOMENAL, but I do agree. There is no way to get more than a Season out the premise. I only hope that they make a great season, succeed, and then can "Reinvent" the show interestingly. That is the ONLY possible way of getting more than one season.

ReplyDeleteJust saw the show and I have to say I'm very excited about the show now - I can see it has great potential ! It's definitely on my must-see list of fall shows ! The acting is good, the story line is good and I already loved "The Count of Monte Cristo" so I'm definitely excited to see what they'll do with it !

ReplyDeleteI think it is way too obvious and dumbed down honestly.
It's a mystery without any mystery in it. They gave you all the information you know what happened in the past, you know what's going to happen during the episode, and in case you didn't they flashback to events to connect the dots and make it even more obvious.
That said it was was executed okay, the actors were okay, and over all it was fairly fun. I think anyone that likes shows that make them think will get bored with this in a few episodes, but if you want light drama fun... it's just perfect for you.
I agree. They gave the viewer way too much information to keep it interesting for a full season in my eyes too. They removed much of the mystery that could have kept it interesting.
