Awesome episode, and fantastic work by David Strathairn... really enjoyed the twists and the introduction of a new big bad... Looking forward to the next season and where they might go from here.
I think the best parts of the series are the moral complications the team run into fighting Red Flag. Because while Red Flag really is a terrorist organization, the Government that the team works for is no better and in some ways worse. I REALLY hope that it comes down to a choice for each and every member what are they going to do? Do they continue trying to assist in the capture of some of their own, who have in some instances done nothing more than exist? Or do they realize that the Government is corrupt and start fighting against it? I think that is the core of the show.
Damn it. Why did Fraudrey have to be a bad guy? It's a bummer that Anna died too. Great episode though. Gary was pretty good too. He had some funny lines. I'm glad I stuck with this show despite the fact it was so shaky for the first handful of episodes.
This show was picked up over another show titled 4 inches? I watched the 90 minute pilot of 4 inches, and believe it or not I thought it was light years better the Alpha's. The story line initially sounded implausible and stupid, but upon watching the show it all came together, and by the end of the episode it all made so much sense. I found the actors enjoyable to watch, the cast seem to really like each other everyone seemed comfortable working with each other unlike the cast of alpha's. Alpha's sound like it could grow to be something good, but unfortunately some of the characters are quite annoying, starting with the disabled guy who feels out of place with the other cast members, and not because his character is disabled, more like annoying to watch on screen. I think the actor he got the part should play that character less annoying or leave the show. His character is a distraction to my eyes and ears.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
This show made me think on which side would I be on.
