Here's Ted Rooney's audition video for the part of John McGarrigle in Boardwalk Empire's second season. According to the HBO press release for October's episodes, Ted Rooney got the part.

POSSIBLE SPOILER: In the audition scene, John McGarrigle asks Nucky for financial backing and guns for the IRA, but Nucky refuses.
