  2. Don't know what to say.  I am very disappointed with the writing and story lines.  I watched Torchwood from the beginning.  I don't feel the love that was in the previous shows.  I know that Captain Jack is gay but I enjoyed that he was bi in the previous versions.  Why you say?  Well he is a gorgeous man!  It was wonderful watching him take care of woman too.  We should be sharing him.  I also wanted Captain Jack back.  Not this human, so not the bold, exciting, interesting and sexing Captain we knew and definitely Loved!

  5. Alexa, we'll be lucky to see ANY new episodes of Torchwood again after Miracle Day is over.  There's a good chance that this will be it.

  7. I think the issue is that this season of Torchwood is aimed at an American audience, so they may not have seen the BBC versions.  Jack wasn't gay, he was omnisexual, where he was attracted more to personalities, which including aliens.  He seems more predatory and aggressive in this season.  It is almost a let down for BBC fans because his character seems so different; but it is probably easier for American fans watching it for the first time.  Look how long it took them to finally have an alien!  People watching for the first time do not have the back story(of Torchwood and Dr Who), so that's probably why it seems so slow; the writers are framing the story for people who have never seen the show before.  Also, some of the older episodes are a little out there, and you can't just throw weird low budget aliens in there for a new audience right away (e.g. Daleks, even though they have only been on Dr Who, or Gwen getting preggers on her wedding day)

That being said, I feel like Jack is what bothers me the most.  He's a different character.
