It wont be chang a thing, even if the two finale episodes will be fantastic. The season itself hasnt prooven herself to be good as the others, and this is what that metters. Yes, I wait to the next two episodes... but not because Im intersted in them.
last episode was ok, but i was kinda bored and wanted to skip forward.. lol... but was sooo thrilled whith john de lance saying captin to jack and interactin with nana .. takes me back to deep space nine... great episode cos DS9.. otherwise crap :D
Okay I can get people thinking that Miracle Day isnt as good as Children of Earth, but worse than the first two series, I dont think so. Series 1 and 2 where inconsistent and not that great really. It was Docotor Who's runt lil bother and nothing really special. I watched it cause I love Captain Jack and I loved the team, all great characters, Ianto, Owen, Toshiko, and thats why "Fragments" "Adfift" "Captain Jack Harkness" were the two best episodes of the original run cause they really focused on character. I get the nostaliga factor for "old Torchwood," I feel it to, but make no mistake that Miracle Day is good in its own right and in my opinion is not some sort of betrayl of what Torchwood is. Its only weakness are that at 10 episodes it feels dragged out too much, it took too long for Rex and Esther to become good characters, and just overall its lacked the intensity and emotion of Children of Earth which the best Torchwood story and is what lead to Miracle Day in the first place. Im still willing to give these last 2 episodes a chance to get things back to a Children of Earth level but overall it wont make up for the first 7 episodes feeling like they could have been and should have been condensed down to about 4 and a half and the whole story needed to be simplified and told better.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Interesting!!! Can't wait!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's looking like the last 2 episodes might have been worth the wait. I'm really looking forward to these 2.
ReplyDeleteThanks, can't wait
