ABC Family has ordered an additional 22 episodes of Switched at Birth in what the network is billing as a “full first season order.” Birth‘s initial 10-episode run concludes Aug. 8; the new batch of episodes will air in early 2012.
S@B has good numbers across the board and it has a broader appeal than any other ABCF show and the size of the pickup is still surprising to me. The network really went all-in with this one.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
good news :D
ReplyDeleteso season 1 is 32 episodes?
ReplyDeletegreat serie !!!
ReplyDeleteTechnically yes although with such a gap it will be more like a Short Season 1 and full Season 2
ReplyDelete=D I love this show!
ReplyDeleteHappy they've ordered more episodes, this show is really great!
ReplyDeleteThat's a bigger order than I suspected. I assumed they'd get another 10 episode order.
ReplyDeleteYeah I figured a back 9 to 12 to make a full season... not a full second season on top of the half Season One!
ReplyDeleteGuess that's some serious network support and love!
