Thanks to Spartigus for the heads up.

There will be a change at the helm of USA Network’s hot new legal drama Suits, which was recently renewed for a second season. Sean Jablonski, who served as executive producer/showrunner for the first season, is leaving. He will be succeeded by the series’ creator Aaron Korsh who is being promoted from co-executive producer to executive producer and new showrunner.

  1. Without knowing why he left I can't really know how I feel about this news....

I like the series a lot , but I don't know if the show creator or the show runner was a larger influence on Season One.  Will Season Two be a more of the same or a change in tenor and style?

    Wait and see I guess.

  2. The showrunner job sure isn't a safe one lately. Hopefully it want effect the show

  3. It could be that the decision was made long time ago, it's pretty common that channels don't wanna give a rookie creator a show to run.

  4. May that NEVER happen to Game of Thrones.

  7. I really enjoy this show immensely as well. From what I read, that the network probably brought and experienced showrunner like Jablonsky in to take the show out of the gate until Korsh learned the ropes and caould step in and run the show that he created. Kudos to Jablonsky and all involved for a great show.
