Hey Guys,
We had an idea that could showcase your talents with STV in creating in essence a Movie Trailer which contains as many of the big shows on television at the moment as possible into an epic, well edited and awesome trailer.
It is free to enter the competition as always, and if your video is chosen as the winner we will then award that personyou an exclusive STV Badgeville badge which will be only un-lockable on very rare occasions by the smallest amount of people. And you will be the first person to receive it.
Also the winning trailer will be available to access from the homepage so that it gets some exposure!
Of course we would like the trailer to showcase the fact that here on STV we offer a huge range of television news, reviews, articles and competitions and above you can find the STV Logo to add into the trailer at some point.
Therefore the things which the potential winners trailer must have are:
1) STV Logo
2) The slogan "TV for the fans, by the fans.!
3) Something that highlights the fact we offer television news, reviews, articles and competitions. However you chose to do this is fine!
4) As many clips from as many TV shows as possible.
The rest is up to you, so be as creative as you can so that your video stands out when the poll to choose the winner comes around!
The deadline is next Friday the 26th!
Once you have created the video, upload it to youtube and post the link in the comments below. I will try to keep updating the post with your videos embedded at the bottom of this post so people can see your efforts more easily!

ReplyDeleteWish I had spare time for something like this but I've already got 3 video projects and a website on my plate plus a research paper. Nothing like being a college student. Its great to be studying something I love but when I no longer have time to do projects that are actually fun then it becomes tedious.

ReplyDeleteI always envy people who get a summer break, as I don't get one. I attend classes all year round. I was promised this type of schedule would get me done faster... Fat chance I'm working on my 4th year and should nothing go wrong, which it probably inevitably will, I'll graduate next friggen summer. -_-

ReplyDeleteI tried to keep it short and sweet so really only the bigger fandoms on this site were appeased in the promo...also it's hard finding actually usable footage for certain shows...(HD quality without watermarks) so it looks a bit lower-quality than my usual videos.

How many minutes should the trailer be?i did for 2 minutes..i can do another trailer depending on the time limit.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's specified. I think it can be as long as you wish.
ReplyDeleteI'm about to start my 3rd year, and I've taken both summers off (once just because I wanted to, the second time because I didn't have the foresight to register for summer classes) so it would've probably put me way behind if I didn't have like 4 classes worth of credits from honors classes/AP tests. I'd totally be SCREWED. But as it stands I think after this semester it's full on MAJOR time... I've gotten through the core, and now I'm doing the prerequisites for my major so I'm at the anxious point... from now on I'm planning to take more classes a semester AND do summers, so don't envy me because I soon be in your shoes. :P
