Hey Guys,

The 32 male characters for the STV Favourite Character Competition have been decided after I sorted through your nominations. These are the male characters who will be entering the draw which will be starting soon.

The female characters will be announced tomorrow, but for now take a look through the list and see who you think has a chance at taking the top prize!

    Ha!  I'd say he has a very good chance but that it's going to get ugly as soon as the Supernatural characters face each other.  Depending on where they are in the bracket, that could be fairly quickly and that's probably a good thing.  One thing for sure though - there will be plenty of anti-Supernatural feelings out there and the Supernatural fandom itself will be split.  It will be harder to get a Supernatural winner than people think.

    I'm sorry, but what gives you the right to make generalizations at these people? Just because the characters might be good looking doesn't mean that this is the ONLY reason why people are choosing the characters. As a matter of fact, they ARE interesting characters with very fascinating storylines. And maybe, just maybe not everybody knows who "Walter Bishop" is. I sure as hell don't. So don't sit there and accuse people of only choosing "good looking" characters just for that single purpose, because it's an unfair generalization.

    Walter Bishop is one of the leads on Fringe.  He plays the "mad scientist".  He really is a great character and I wouldn't mind him winning even if he is not my first choice.  If you haven't tried Fringe, you might want to check it out.  Supernatural owns my heart, but Fringe is a pretty great show too.

    Well, I'm not sure, because I was tracking the whole thing with my bracket predictions, but then part of it was redone because of the cheating that took place, so I don't know now if my anotations are correct, but what I have is: winner Jack Shephard, second Clark Kent and the third would be Fox Mulder.

    I'd say it's because Richard Cypher got more nominations.  :-)  At least Clark Kent got second place last year so that's something.  I would also have loved Daniel Jackson from Stargate.  He's the only reason I watched some seasons.

    The pendulum seems to be swinging away from Dean for the first time since season 3 but if it were a straight contest between the three, yes, I think Dean would win at this time.  The problem comes from people who take the if my favorite gets voted out then I am voting against the other 2 road.  Add that to people who do not want Supernatural to win any more online polls and I think it will be tough for any Supernatural character to win.  After all, they were all defeated last year.

    I am sure you are right.  However, hopefully by the time the contest ends, they will not only know who these characters are but have given Supernatural a try.  After all, the whole purpose of these contests (besides to give SpoilerTV a lot of hits in a dry season) is for people to talk about their favorite shows and encourage other people to try them.  I've found several good episodes through this.

    I am constantly bummed by the lack of Hodgins love.  He's by far my favorite character on Bones although I will be voting some Seeley love too.  Still, I am crushed that Neal Caffrey isn't on the list.  I was sure that he would make it at least.  Personally I nominated Mozzie, but to have no one from White Collar is a crying shame.

    Jack Sheppard from LOST won with Clark Kent from Smallville in second.  There is debate on who came in third, mostly because we can't remember, but I think it was Fox Mulder from The X-Files.  This is the second year for the contest.

    That I remember very well because I was at least happy that someone I liked beat Dean.  Then once the Summer Glau debacle began I started getting suspicious of the loss.  It will be interesting to see what happens this year.

    There have been several character cups of only Lost characters in the sister webpage of DarkUFO in the previous summers. I kind of remember too, that last summer the final match was between Locke and Jack, with Jack winning. but that was Lost Character Cup not Spoiler TV Character Cup with characters of all kind of shows.

    I love Sammy, but I'm a  Dean girl.  I can't help.  I got to meet them this year.  Jensen has a very magnetic  type of personality.  Jared  is just cuddly.He will grab you and give you a big hug.  If you are meeting Jensen for the first time, when he walks up, you literally freeze.  His smile will make you melt and when he says hi, of my word!   I think he knows women respond that way at first.  When you meet him the second time, your fine.  It's initial shock.  Literally, he's overpowering.
