Stephen King and Steven Spielberg are at it again.

The duo who previously teamed on The Talisman are developing a drama series based on King’s 2009 novel Under the Dome.

The project, which will be produced by DreamWorks Television, revolves around locals a Maine locale who battle each other when a force field surrounds their town and cuts them off from the remainder of the world.

  1. Yes! I loved Under The Dome.

But I'm slightly confused. Will this be a TV series or a mini-series?

  2. If they're staying faithful to the novel and don't just use the premise and do their own thing from there, a mini-series or one 12 episode season would be the best way but I haven't seen anything concrete so far.

Loved the novel too, btw, it was great to read a loooong King novel again.

  3. I really liked Under the Dome definitely one of Stephen King's better books in recent years (apart from the ending which was a bit of a let down) will be interesting to see who they get to play some of the roles  especially that nasty piece of work Big Jim

  4. I am really excited about this but would like to know what Talisman collaboration they are referencing, I love that book and didn't ever see any adaptations of it.

  5. The source says it fell through because of the budget.

  6. thank you, I was googling around and saw it hit a road block but didn't know if it ever got back on track. I guess it did not, which sucks. For a second I had my hopes up that there was King adaptation I wasn't aware of.

  10. Oh! I ended up also sending this to you spoiler TV, sorry I search first...

I am pretty excited. I really enjoyed under the dome...It wouldn't bother me at all to stray from the book as long as they keep certain elements in tact...I agree a mini series would be great, but I also think they could make a few seasons out of it...
