A funny thing happened to Lisa Edelstein soon after the news broke that she wouldn’t be returning to House this fall: She started getting phone calls. A lot of phone calls, from people who wanted to work with her. “It was a really nice feeling,” she tells TVLine in her first interview since tendering her resignation from the Fox hit back in May. “It was a new position for me, and it was very exciting.” One of the first overtures to come her way was made by the producers of The Good Wife, who offered her a three-episode arc as Celeste Serrano, a lawyer with ties to Josh Charles’ Will. As she began work on the CBS drama this morning, the actress called from the set to discuss her new gig and reflect on all things House — including her sudden exit, the shocking season finale and whether she’d ever return as Cuddy.

    oh, her role in The good wife is only for 3 episodes? I thought she was going to be part of the regular cast... thanks for sharing!

    Crikes... she doesn't sound very happy with how the House situation was was handled, but I'm glad she has found new things to pursue...

    We can still live in hope she returns to House one day..

    only 3 episodes ?? Really ! I thought her role would a little more important, but maybe they can call her back later on the season. 
    And i'm pretty sure, she'll do an amazing job. It doesn't matter if its one episode or a hole season =D

    What a diplomatic speech. She doesn't give any reason to her departure. For now
    she only has a one month job (that was announced on june 23 rd http://www.spoilertv.com/2011/06/good-wife-lisa-edelstein-joins-cast.html),
    then I wish her good luck.

    Edelstein didn't open up about anything.  She tiptoed around the House questions.  I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

    I would have liked to know if Hugh Laurie picked up the phone.  It obviously ended poorly, with the request to take a significant pay cut.  Hope to see a reunion, doesn't sound likely.
