Deadline reports that FOX will decide whether or not season 8 of House is the last season in late November/December 2011. So far, all signs point to yes, but nothing is set in stone. As of December, the first 8-9 episodes of season 8 will have aired, the writers will probably have written 17-18 episodes (assuming season 8 will have 22 episodes) and it is likely 13-14 episodes will have been shot. It would leave the writers approximately 4-5 episodes to come up with a decent series finale.
Season 8 of House will premiere on Monday, October 3rd at 9pm on FOX.

House and DH ending in the same year? Huh.
ReplyDeleteMTE. And who knows what else joins them...
ReplyDeleteall of the best shows are ending! Chuck .. one tree hill.. and now these 2?! next thing theyll decide to cancel fringe too ... <\3 KILL ME NOW!
ReplyDeleteYeah... I'd start mentally preparing yourself for a Fringe cancellation. It's amazing it's lasted this long to begin with (ditto on Chuck).
ReplyDeleteInteresting. Not shocking.
ReplyDeleteNO ME GUSTAAAAAAAAAAA DDD:
ReplyDeleteAccording to Reilly if Fringe can perform at the same level it did last year they will be happy with the ratings. They are not expecting it to grow.
ReplyDeleteI don't want House to end! Even more I don't want House to end BADLY! I just hope the'll be able to come up with a decent series finale.
ReplyDeleteseems to have run its course really
ReplyDeleteI hate to see it end, but I've been losing interest since they broke up the original team and after the season finale this year, I'm still shaking my head.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been able to watch this show for a couple of seasons now. Never really got into it outside of USA marathons in the first place, but it was really good, and now it seems like it would be best to just let it end because it's hit a low point...
ReplyDeleteFast forward to December:
ReplyDelete"You're show is two expensive. Wrap it up."
Original team broken up: mistake #1. But cases were interesting and House was still the grumpy, sarcastic, annoying guy with a heart. Suddenly he drives into Cuddy's house. Ok end of show.
ReplyDeletePlus the fact that Lisa E. is not gonna be there, I was finding it hard to come back and watch. This way I can just buy season 7, and watch season 8 because it's the last one and be done with it.
the show run it's course already... 8 seasons !!! Cancelled that and bring back The Chicago Code and Breaking In !
ReplyDeleteI was OK, with a lot of regrets, with the season 8 as a final season. Now I will wonder if there will be or not a ninth season and have to wait until december. That's hard !
ReplyDelete8 is enough! :D
ReplyDeletewell, we need decent series finale. i hope!
