I was just about ready to give up on House after that disastrous ending to an uneven Season 7, but what I'm hearing about 8 reignites my interest. Let's hope Season 8 is great and then let House go out on a high note.
I'm sure you've got your answer now, but in case someone else is interested : "Down to the river" The Cadillac Black. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8lW7BIUrBo
Oh, so we're using recycled plots then? I seem to remember him locked up before. Though I dare say he did deserve it, but you know it's not house's fault, it's the writers. It's like they knew that this would be the last season (or sensed it) and was all "Let's have our own fun, screw the fans" I'll still watch since I love Hugh Laurie, but yeah :/
Beeing in jail and beeing in an institution is very different for me and it will be for the character too. It's absolutely not the same situation and I don't understand how it could be recycling the same thing.
SOrry if you're too much of a fanboy to see it. But House doing something in a season finale that get's him locked in someplace in the next season premiere was donde before already, in seasons 5&6. I call that a recycled plot.
Sure, if the premiere was only about House solving some medical case and treating anyone else like shit, it wouldn't be a recycling, since that's what the show's been about since the pilot.
OK, OK I agree with you. I'll stop watching the show because I've seen Gregory House with a pair of jeans and a blue shirt before ! I've seen him before in something with walls, doors and windows. Sometimes they call it institution, prison, hospital, shop, school, courthouse or even house. What's the name of this special thing without window where the wall becomes occasionaly a door ? OH, yes, it's an elevator (or a lift).
Use sarcasm all you want. You know it's a recyled plot.
I wasn't taking my argument to the extreme of "House within 4 walls = reclycle plot". A mental institution and jail are very much alike in terms of writing. It's the same plot. He wasn't allowed to leave the place. Unlike the very free to do so house, shop, school, etc.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
House starting trouble shocker? not really.....
ReplyDeletePoor kid..
ReplyDeleteSame old Greg House. Making friends wherever he goes.
ReplyDeleteloook like its gonna be exciting! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a bit early no ? The medical mystery seems to be : "How many wounds will he have at the end of his time in jail".
ReplyDeleteLooks good for a premiere! But so did last year's premiere and a terrible season followed. Let's hope they'll get the show back on track.

ReplyDeletelooks like a decent episode :D
ReplyDeleteSince this is the last season I can't imagine what mischief will go on w/House. I am sad it is ending.
ReplyDeleteDoes anybody know the song?
ReplyDeleteLooks like it'll be good
ReplyDeleteLaurie looks good in a prison jumpsuit :)
ReplyDeletedon't care if they kick the sh*t our of House. Is there going to be a medical mystery to go with it.
ReplyDeleteAn insightful House locked in someplace up on a season premiere? Cue flashback to S6 Premiere!
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell happened to this show's writers? It went downhill. And now it'll probably go underground till it reaches the core of the earth.
