Game of Thrones - Season 2 - Casting News - Robert Pugh is Craster

James Hibberd from EW InsideTV has Game of Thrones casting news.

"Robert Pugh (Master & Commander, Robin Hood) has been cast as Craster."
Source: InsideTV

Craster is a wildling, the master of Craster's Keep beyond the Wall.

Once a powerful-looking man, he is nearing the end of his life. His hair is grey turning to white. He has a flat nose and a drooping mouth, which gives him a cruel look and one of his ears is missing, which he has lost to the cold.

If you ask me, Pugh looks quite similar to the Craster 'Wolves of the North' game card. Add a longer beard, some shaggy hair and he'll be perfect in looks and acting chops!

  1. This was a role I had a hard time matching a face to honestly. Nina has struck again and cast a solid actor who will definitely look the part once he gets his Westeros make-over!

  2. The streak is broken.  I'm actually familiar with this guy.  The last time I saw him was last year on Doctor Who.

  3. Ha! XD

Yeah I just watched him in The Shadow Line with Christopher Eccleston and Chiwetel Ejiofor two months ago. I guess I had seen him in Prime Suspect and Bleak House too, but I don't recall him from those roles honestly.

He was great in The Shadow Line!

  4. I forgot about Bleak House.  I really liked that miniseries except for the last hour or so.
