YAY at last! I love Astrid because she is one of the most normal and balanced characters on the show. I hope we get to see the two Astrids meet because that would be intriguing.
Really excited about this!-- It's too bad we don't focus on Astrid's backstory, but comic series Tales of the Fringe issue #3 does feature the story about how she gets inducted into the FBI and is one of my favorite backstories that the comic series gave us. If you want to know more about that go to Fringewiki Here: http://fringepedia.net/wiki/Fringe_Comic_Number_9
She IS the one who figures out almost 60% of the mysteries though...She's the one who singlehandedly pieced together the First people thing in season 4, and she's Walter's counterpart: she keeps him on his toes and helps him figure things out.
On a side note, I like this quote, "And failing sucks. It’s necessary, but it sucks." I said something similar to my students this week when talking about using technology in new ways.
It seems like she has become more central a character as the seasons progress. I enjoy that and the fact that she has been given talents of her own to contribute to the team.
By the way, I am up to Entrada in season 3. Given the way everyone talked about it in the Best Show contest, I am very excited.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
hell yeah!! I love Astrid <3
ReplyDeleteyes!! Astrid is my fave character!! (well, after Walter :P)
ReplyDeleteYAY!
ReplyDeleteExcellant news thanks
ReplyDeleteFinally! Astrid deserved a centric episode. :)
ReplyDeleteI feel like I'm the only one that doesn't care very much about Astrid.....
ReplyDeleteShe is not connected to the myth arc of the series very much if at all, so an Astrid episode is a filler episode to me I guess.
I would much rather have a Lincoln Lee (our side) or Henry the cabdriver centered episode!
Thanks for this, love Astrid
ReplyDeleteAstrid is so cool. Met her at Comic Con. She was so humble and thrilled to be on this show.

ReplyDeleteAnd how do Lincoln lee and henry connect to the myth arc? So wouldn't a lincoln centric episode be also just filler?
ReplyDeleteThey don't.... but find both more interesting was my point.
ReplyDeleteJasika is very cool tho! Love interviews with her. I just don't find Astrid as fun as most of the rest of the characters on the series...
its about time, should be an interesting episode :D
ReplyDeleteBlame that on the writers, though. They write the characters not Jasika.
ReplyDeleteVery true.
ReplyDeleteI'm not blaming anyone tho... not every character needs to be a lead. Maybe the episode will change my opinion of her too.. .who knows...
It's about time.
ReplyDeleteYES! :D
ReplyDeleteMore Astrid is always a positive!
Great news!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that. I hope we get some Altstrid dealing with the fact that Astrid doesn't have Asperger's. That's full of dramatic potential.

ReplyDeleteMore Astrid? What a fabulous idea!
