Asked if CTV’s Flashpoint has a future on CBS beyond this summer, CBS president Nina Tassler said, “I don’t think so.”
Luckily the show is a huge ratings and critical success in Canada and doesn't need CBS's support to continue production.

I suppose Combat Hospital shares a similar situation.
ReplyDeleteOH GOSH i love it ahhaah. you got me scared!
ReplyDeletewell i remember the show was announced by shawmedia long before ABC came aboard so they didnt need ABC to produce season 1 so i assume it will continue just fine without ABC
ReplyDeleteCool. Thanks for the info, tariqq.
ReplyDeleteGood thing CTV already renewed Flashpoint for a 5th season - http://www.spoilertv.com/2011/06/ctv-2011-2012-schedule-listener-and.html
ReplyDeleteGood thing most Americans can get it on ION once the CBS run reaches its end ... as was announced months ago.
ReplyDeletei think Ion hasnt picked up season 5 yet tho
ReplyDeleteThis is sort of a non-issue then? It's just a borrowed show from another country (oh, Canada, why don't we get more of your shows on our channels?).
ReplyDeleteOkay, so it's just ABC then and not CTV? Sweet. I love my show.
ReplyDeleteThanks alot CBS...cancelling another great show I'm invested in. Because of Hawaii Five 0....I had finally forgiven you for the cancellation of my beloved Moonlight.....and here you go again. Flashpoint is a great show. And if it's gonna continue in Canada...will we be able to see it on any other channel?
ReplyDeleteThey better don't end it, I love it!
ReplyDeleteFlashpoint is moving to ION (In the fall)
ReplyDeleteFlashpoint doesn't need CBS, it's great (and popular) in Canada.
It's their loss.
It's about time that a Canadian show was successful enough to not rely on an American network.
