Hey Bones Fans,
We're progressing further with the Badgeville badges, and Bones is to be the next show to have STV show specific badges, where you score points and badges for engaging in posts that are solely Bones based. Points are scored by commenting, tweeting, facebook-like-ing and using the google+ link amongst other things...
This follows from the Supernatural, Fringe, Vampire Diaries & Chuck badges we have already launched and the upcoming Dexter & Game Of Thrones badges... For more information on Badgeville on STV head HERE
Of course we need to design the badges for this, and seeing as you as fans are important to us and know who is a great character on the show and who is not, we thought we'd let you pick the faces that will be on the badges.
For this show, most of the characters are in one poll for you to choose from. The exception to this is obviously Brennan & Booth, who are in a separate poll to decide which will have the top level badge... Everyone else who have been in 4 episodes or more is in the same poll, so make sure you vote for your favourites...
All you need to do in the second poll is vote for the 5 characters you feel are most worthy of a place on the remaining 8 badges we will initially create... That means you can select up to 5 characters then press the vote button... I've included all the important multi-episode characters in 4 episodes or over I can find but if there's someone else you want to nominate who was in less, stick him in the other option :D The top nominations will appear on the badges in that rank order!
Remember to vote for 5 characters and whilst your at it you can comment below on who you chose and why...

ReplyDeleteVoting for just 5 is simply not enough for Bones Oo tough one. Really really tough one.
ReplyDeleteSo, first of all, I voted for "Brennan" in the first poll. Yes, the
story arc that was the basis of the show throughout all seasons now -
Brennan's and Booth's relationship - makes them both THE main
characters, but she's still the more important of those main characters.
The show Bones as it is could still exist without Booth, even though a
HUGE part would be missing. But Bones without Bones? Nah. And I'm not
saying this because the show is named after her. But Dr. Temperance
Brennan is the reason all of this works. The group the way she put it
together. So, easy vote: Brennan deserves the top badge.
As for the other poll, I voted for:
Angela, Sweets, Zack, Vincent and Parker.
Angela is just ... well, she's probably the most normal of them all and
then she starts with her computer-talk and she fits right in again.
Still, she's kind of the heart all of them need in there in order not to
go crazy and stay real.
Sweets ... I just love Sweets. I can't help it. Same for Zach. I was so
so so absolutely sad and shocked when he left. Not just the way he left,
but just the fact that he did. He's one of the main reasons I stuck to
watching the show in the first place. But Sweets was a good
"replacement". I know that he didn't replace Zach and I know that he's
been there already when Zach was still there as well, but when it comes
to me, the weekly dose of some Sweets pretty much made up for the then
missing weekly doses of Zach. I love the characters. I want the badges
*g*
Vincent goes without saying. My fave squintern. And of course HE'S the
one they had to kill. I wasn't even too surprised. I was shocked, still.
But not surprised. My fave characters tend to get killed or turn bad.
Well well.
And Parker just needs to be in there 'cause he's one of the cutest little kids on television.
Other than that, I would have voted for Camille, Jack and Tim Sullivan to complete the 10 badges. (Well, I would love to see Jared Booth / Brendan Fehr on one of the badges, but I think Tim Sullivan was rather important to the whole Brennan/Booth storyline, so ... yah.)
I voted for Caroline Julian. Yeah, I voted for four others too but the important one is Caroline Julian.

ReplyDeleteVoted for Brennan (though choosing between her and Booth is impossible), Angela, Jack (Hodgins as he is known), Zack, Vincent Nigel-Murray, and Gordon-Gordon!
ReplyDeleteBooth for the top definitely for me. Brennan still sometimes annoys me. Since Hodgins, Angela and Zack are my favorite characters they also get my vote.
ReplyDeleteFor me Sweets will never be a replacement for Zack Addy. Zack was awkward but lovable, a character I rooted for. Sweets is awkward and often annoying with a girlfriend who presence makes me want to put a hammer to my brain. Sweets without Daisy was definitely preferable to me, but no where near my Zack love. I agree that Parker would be an excellent addition, but I simply ran out of choices before I could vote for him.
ReplyDeleteI hovered over Caroline's name multiple times before choosing. If I had a sixth vote, she would definitely have gotten it. She rocks every time she is on screen. An excellent addition to the crew.
ReplyDeleteSince Temperance Brennan is the titular character of this show I voted for her as top badge regardless of my personal preference. I figure if the character's name is Bones and the show is called Bones the question answers itself.

ReplyDeleteOh pleeze, the reason we still have a show is because of both Brennan and Booth. What would we have without Booth? A cold, scientific, aggressive female who boinks anything her biological imperative desires. His influence is what has made her who she is today. Without the romantic angle, it is just another show in the sea of procedurals. It is their relationship that makes us love this show.

Oh, I definitely liked Sweets better without Daisy as well. Well, actually, not true: As long as we don't see Daisy, I don't mind if he's with her or not. I just really really hate Daisy. She's the most annoying character on the show and possibly one of the most annoying characters I've ever seen on the show. She ruins every scene on the show for me.

ReplyDeleteHodgins is my favorite character too. I always loved him but he shot up to my favorite during the first Gravedigger episode and hasn't left that spot.
ReplyDeleteShe's up their with the Ghostfacers from Supernatural in the annoying characters list for me. Everything about her bugs me. I agree that she's a scene killer.
