Tom Skerritt and Bailey Chase are set to guest-star on Season 3 of White Collar, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

Skerritt, 77, will play Alan Mitchell, the discerning dad of Elizabeth (Tiffani Thiessen). As a psychiatrist and a protective father, Alan will keep a close eye on son-in-law Peter (Tim DeKay).

  4. I love the idea of Tom Skerritt being Elizabeth's dad and disapproving of Peter.  That should make the discomfort funny.  Plus, it means we get extra El time and that's always good.

    I just find it amusing they so often use much older men to play father's and women of a similar age would be grandmother's most of the time.

  7. Older men paired with younger women has been a tried and true double standard in Hollywood since before there were talkies.  It's just one of those things that never goes away, I guess.
