Be interesting to see if they play out the Jason/ shifter storyline like in the books. Alan Ball said something that made me wonder a little bit I guess. Guess the idea of being tied down, rode hard and put away bloody wet has less appeal to Jay now than it did a year or two ago!
I am loving the childlike side of Eric... for now. Hopefully they don't drag it out until the end of the season. That plot seems more accelerated than the books so I doubt they will... I hope not.
I hate this jason storyline. he is being raped and the show is acting like it is no big deal. Sookie was reading Charlaine harris book before talking to claudine. i wonder which one. The faries were alot better in the books and no trolls.
I dont like the way they stress the "Eric is childlike and is dependant on Sookie the way a child would be". Is Allan Ball so enamoured with Bill that he is sexually "defanging" Eric in relation to Sookie? Also what do they mean in the end by hinting that Eric could be faking the amnesia and its all part of a greater scheme of his? I am not really a fan of the books, but that kind of twist woudl be completely retarded. They might as well give Eric an evil goatee and a white persian cat to pet while making plans to TAKE OVER THE WORLD.
Personally I think they are not downplaying the Jason rapes at all. To see the uber-stud of Bon Temps begging to be set free as they torture and ride him is showing how screwed up Crystal and the Hotshot residents are.
I've read all the books and I have to wonder how some of the new story lines are going to play out. They are in direct contrast to how the story goes. Ex: The King Thing Affair w/Portia Andy's on drugs This will be interesting.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteThe Childlike behavior is going along with the book. I think it makes him approachable and lovable.
