From my understanding, which came from 2 different girls who attended Jared's private Q&A, there WILL be 23 episodes instead of 22 because they want the season finale to be a two-parter. So why do you doubt it? And I doubt that this will be the last season. This is a strong show on a weak network, and does damn good for a Friday night. Then you have the new CW president who actually likes Supernatural and has already approached Jared and Jensen about doing a Season 8 to which they said yes.
Unless ratings topple, I would doubt this is the last season either. The CW looks to be attempting to skew a bit higher in its audience and with Smallville gone, Supernatural skews the highest aged viewers. I think they will keep it until they have a stable roster of shows in their targeted range. As fro 23 episodes, I'm all for it, but it is too early for definites yet. My guess is that they will see what the ratings are doing before going beyond a tentative show order.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Go NJ!

ReplyDeletethe possibility of a 23 episode season with a two part finale? sounds like a plan, doubt it'll happen even if this happens to be the last season.
