Hey Guys,

Yesterday perhaps produced the biggest shock so far in the competition, with Game Of Thrones triumphing over Smallville and worming its way into round three. That is sure to have surprised a few people and leaves a new top-contender in the competition. For Smallville, it seems the show ending has withered its support. Also Buffy easily beat Heroes to take its place in the next round, and a now tricky showdown with Game Of Thrones...

Today sees Bones and The Mentalist squaring off as well as Stargate SG1 trying to beat Buffy spin-off Angel for a place in the next round...

The rules for, for anyone new to the competition are very simple. There will be new sets of shows against each other every day in a new set of polls... simply vote for your favourite and the show with the most votes will win that days poll and head into the next round.

Don't forget to spread the word, and tweet out the competition to friends as well as facebook liking the post...
Also if you are taking part in the prediction competition, don't forget to follow your scores HERE Long time leader Sergey Sevostianov is still our long time leader, on 50 points with Dahne hot on his heels on 49 points.

    Stargaaate!! XD I mean, Angel has its great moments but all too often it majorly suffered from so much bad plot writing & random character fail, that as a *whole*, and as just *show* vs *show*, Stargate just wins any day!! ;P (now if we were talking *characters*.. umm. C'mon now, you could NEVER make me choose! I love most all of them..seriously, Daniel Jackson? Winifred Burkle? Cameron Mitchell? Wesley Wyndam-Pryce? Vala Mal Doran? Spike? Teal'c? Angel?! Jack O'Neill?! No way!! ahaha)

    PS. Is it just me.. or do, at least in those pictures, RDA & DB have VERY eerily similar facial features? LOL it just.. looks so funny when you glance from one to the other, I dunnoo.. XD

    I voted for Bones.  The second one was a toss up for me. I voted SG1, but I could just as easily have voted for Angel.  I like them both almost equally.

    Me too.  I don't watch the Mentalist and while I saw every episode of both Angel and Stargate, I was more frustrated with the latter.  I hated with a passion the whole Ori story line.

    I had to vote Bones and SG 1. I've loved Bones, though I'm a bit behind right now, and until I discovered Supernatural, SG 1 was my favorite show! I liked Angel, but it never captured me the way SG 1 did.

     All three? Happy because it's a brilliant show based on my favourite books. Unhappy because it busts my bracket (well, to be fair, it was busted well before now). And surprised because... Well, wow. We usually have such a vocal Smallville fanbase here.

    As annoying as the Ori storyline was, I think it beats anything Jasmine-related by far ;P plus it gave us a lot of good eps connecting Cameron, Vala & Daniel.. whereas with Angel, the verse was so wrecked after the Connor/Jasmine ordeal, that they actually had to canonically reset, lol. I did love a lot of bits in season five tho, something about Angel & Spike working together just made it almost even better than the first two seasons.. XD

    I voted for Bones even though Hart Hanson continues to screw the show up a little more each season and I voted for SG1 over Angel when I would of preferred to vote them both out.  :)

    I wholeheartedly agree about the Connor plot.  It started off bad and then got worse and then in some miracle of suckitude got unimaginably worse.  I loved the reset button.  Connor is to Angel what Dawn was to Buffy.

    For me it's all unhappy.  I knew after the first round that I had made a mistake both in overestimating Smallville's staying power after the series ended and underestimating Game of Thrones and its recent season finale.  Bracket busted.

    LOL @ your epic & perfectly-fitting description.. tho it was more like a twisted ~catastrophe of suckitude, buaha.. except, I kinda liked Connor, well at least when he wasn't fawning over wacked-out Cordy, he did have some good moments of his own. Even Dawn, but then 4th & 5th season BtVS were my faves, hehe. (6&7 may have some good eps, but they were as bad as Angel's 3&4!) Tho I admit, it's been ages since I've watched either of them, so I'm not sure I'd still feel the same (overall impartial) as I did then.. hmm. One of these days, gonna have to marathon re-watch! XD

    Bones I am in love with and though I havent seen either of the other shows, I love Angel on Buffy so I had to go with Angel (which I will watch at some point >_>). If both come through though I will have to vote Bones which is a superb show.

    The Mentalist and Stargate SG1 for me. Today was hard to choose , I like all 4 shows, even if I have to admit, that maybe I only liked Angel, because I loved Buffy, but this aside, I still think that SG1 was way better. Bones and the Mentalist was a close call for me , but in the end Patrick Jane was ahead by a nose!

    Bones, as it is one of my top-fave shows on TV. I do like the Mentalist as well, though, and would have loved for it to get any further during this poll, but well. Competing against Bones gives me no chance but to vote against it.

    Ha!  Glad you commented.  However, I think you are pretty safe in the lead.  It seems like when we fall it's with the same shows.  I knew after the first round that I should have backed Game of Thrones.  The good news is that whether it beats Buffy or not no longer effects the bracket.  It's already gone.  Cheers and happy voting!

    I carefully chose that match.  Spent more time waffling over it than any other in the tournament.  But yes, I think by choosing LOST I am going to have bracket issues.  First off, in almost every single vote (noticeable exception Angel vs Friends), current shows have had more people voting than canceled shows.  Second, The Vampire Diaries, unless I'm mistaken, has had the most votes of any show.  They had significantly fewer votes in round 2.  However, that vote took place on a Saturday over the 4th of July weekend.  Typically a weekend that involves a lot of people out of town or busy with friends and family.  I think it's a mistake to underestimate the VD crowd, my friend.  Although I hope for my bracket's sake, I am wrong.
