Ricky Gervais and Clyde Phillips team up for Afterlife

Ricky Gervais (The Office) and Clyde Phillips (Dexter) are currently writing the pilot of a dramedy called Afterlife, about an atheist who dies and goes to heaven.

If the show gets picked up (and with these 2 guys involved, it is likely it will, on Showtime or HBO perhaps), it will start shooting in early 2012 and Ricky Gervais will make an appearance.

Ricky Gervais is currently shooting a new BBC/HBO comedy, Life's Too Short.
