I've been hoping for a Jones-centric episode since the end of last season and this one paid off. I feel like we know a lot more about Jones and I hope he gets to leave the van more often.
And next week....Keller, one of my favorite villains. This will be a great way to go into the hiatus.
Great to see a Jones centric ep finally. Really like the ongoing cat and mouse between Neal and Peter as well as the battle between the angels and demons in Neal's conscience.
Glad to see more of Neal's trepidation with abandoning his life. I've always liked Jones and him out of the van was great, especially the scene between him and Neal.
I loved it! No more Sara for now = good! I was already sick of Sara. Tonight was perfect, it was about time Jones got an episode. I love Keller he is the best White Collar bad guy! Also looking forward to Eliza. I hope they bring Eliza back for more than one episode. Eliza and Matt had greta chemistry in Tru Calling. I also like that Neal may stay for Peter and the friendship they have!
I liked the episode but for me it was hit and miss. I must be in the minority but Jones's character doesn't do it for me. :/ The story with Jimmy and the wife felt a bit cliche. Sad to see Neal and Sara's relationship becoming history but I hope they reunite at some point. The ending was purely awesome however.
You and I don't agree about Keller at all. I think that guy is an annoying sociopath with the world's biggest chip on his shoulder and a weird, repressed, man-love / obsession with Neal. I much prefer Andrew McCarthy's character.
I hope Neal temporarily sets aside his distaste for guns and uses one on Keller. Speaking of which, I'd like a flashback episode to explain why Neal is so anti-gun.
I agree that Adler was a great villain and I would love to see the flash back to Neal's early years. Mostly because I am a great fan of flash backs. Still I like how Keller is equally smart but far less stylish and less confident despite appearances. You can tell how much he envies Neal and that envy makes him reach farther than he should. Still he always manages to escape. I see in Keller who Neal would have been if it weren't for Mozzie and Adler. He is Neal's alter-ego if things had been just a touch different and that fascinates me.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I like that the show kinda of centered around CJ tonight.
ReplyDeleteI loved it! The Sara and Neal break-up wasn't as painful as I thought and was dreading. They'll get back together, though.
ReplyDeleteAND NEAL, WTF WERE YOU DOING AT THE END? DON'T. JUST DON'T.
Also, he and Jones should wear uniforms more.
LOVED IT!!!

ReplyDeleteIt had a Jones focus. How can you go wring with that? ;D
ReplyDeletePlus Neil and all the inner struggle was very interesting to see.
Jones is awesome, I'm glad we got an episode about him.
ReplyDeleteI think it was awesome!! OMG that ending... :O

ReplyDeleteI like the idea of a blue-collar anti-Neal just like you. It's Keller's personality, in particular, that I can't stand.
