It's a legimitate question, late night talk shows are a big part of american television so I figured it would be nice to have a poll about these late night programs, to have an idea of which talk shows do SpoilerTV members watch.I personnally am hooked to several talk shows for a few months. I wouldn't miss an episode of some late night entertainers and I often find them funnier than most sitcoms. That's why this weekend I wanted to do a poll about that.
These 12 talk shows come from major networks, basic cable and premium cable :
- The Daily Show (with Jon Stewart) airs Mon-Thurs at 11:00pm on Comedy Central since 1996 (± 160 shows/year).
- The Colbert Report (w/ Stephen Colbert) airs Mon-Thurs at 11:30pm on Comedy Central since '05 (± 160 shows/year).
- Conan (with Conan O'Brien) airs Mondays through Thursdays at 11:00pm on TBS since 2010 (± 160 shows/year).
- Lopez Tonight (with George Lopez) airs Mon-Thurs at 12:00am on TBS since 2009 (± 160 shows/year).
- Chelsea Lately (with Chelsea Handler) airs Mon-Thurs at 11:00pm on E! since 2007 (± 190 shows/year).
- The Soup (with Joel McHale) airs Fridays at 11:00pm on E! since 2004 (± 50 shows/year + specials).
- Real Time (with Bill Maher) airs Fridays at 10:00pm on HBO since 2003 (± 26 shows/year).
- Jimmy Kimmel Live (with Jimmy Kimmel) airs Mon-Fri at 12:00am on ABC since 2003 (± 180 shows/year).
- The Tonight Show (with Jay Leno) airs Mondays through Fridays at 11:30pm on NBC since 1992 (± 220 shows/year).
- Late Night (with Jimmy Fallon) airs Mondays through Fridays at 12:30am on NBC since 2009 (± 210 shows/year).
- Late Show (with David Letterman) airs Mondays through Fridays at 11:30pm on CBS since 1993 (± 200 shows/year).
- The Late Late Show (with Craig Ferguson) airs Mon-Fri at 12:30am on CBS since 2005 (± 220 shows/year).
You can choose up to 3 talk shows. Let's vote and comment below :

I absolutely love "The Soup".
ReplyDeleteI love TLLS!! :)
ReplyDeleteDaily Show is the only one I watch on a regular basis. Also watch The Soup and Conan from time to time. The others not very often (Colbert, Ferguson or Maher) or never (like Chelsea Lately).
ReplyDeleteCraig Ferguson, Conan, Jon Stewart, Steven Colbert, Bill Maher - quality
ReplyDeleteKimmel & The Soup - ok
craig ferguson owns late night, that fella is funny :D
ReplyDeleteCraig Ferguson ofcourse, also voted for Soup and Colbert report, but Ferguson is the only one i quote jokes from and also the only one i watch regulary
ReplyDeleteThe Daily Show is my regular fix. I don't watch Colbert as regularly as I used to. Just occasionally.
ReplyDeleteUsed to watch The Soup all the time, but I'm not familiar anymore with the shows or stars that get lampooned.
Okay friends, you're the only people I will confess this to, but I watch Chelsea Lately. It's horrible and has no redeeming values, but I get a giggle and then I go to sleep happy. If I really can't sleep, the two Jimmys, Fallon and Kimmel, have good shtick. Jay Leno should have stayed retired. He's not funny any more.
I love Craig Ferguson show! It is topical witty and out right hilarious! I love that the guests have fun on his show. I loved the episode on Matt Smith otherwise Known to Whodom as present incarnation of the Time Lord Dr. Who!
ReplyDeleteI'm a night owl so this is right in my wheelhouse.
ReplyDeleteOn weekday nights, I watch the first half of Conan and then switch over to Letterman if he doesn't have any interesting guests. If he does, I watch the second half of Letterman when Conan is done. After Letterman, I watch Craig Ferguson.
I watch The Daily Show and The Colbert Report the next day. I either catch the repeats in the morning or get it online.
I never miss The Soup either.
"1 - Craig Ferguson's show is my favorite. I literally laugh out loud
ReplyDeleteat every show, sometimes to the point where I get tears in my eyes.
Such a treat to spend 40 minutes a day, 5 times a week watching his
show."
In your pants.
My top 3 are:
ReplyDeleteConan
Craig Ferguson
Jimmy Kimmel
Colbert and Jon Stewart have never been laugh-out-loud funny for me, but I do enjoy them. Along with Real Time. I would have voted for them too, if I were able. :)
You're not into The Soup because you don't know the Bachelor, Jersey Shore people, Real Housewives, and celeb rehabbers. And that, BB, is something to be proud of!
ReplyDeleteI watch more than 3 late night shows, depending on the guest appearing on it. I went with style.
ReplyDeleteJimmy Fallon
Jimmy Kimmel
Tonight Show
CONAN!
ReplyDeleteTeam CoCo baby!
ReplyDeleteI usually watch Real Time; with an occasional look at Kimmel.
ReplyDeleteIt's this kind of pride which leads me to tell the soliciters from US and OK why I won't subscribe.
