Rumor has it that the twins who play baby Lily on Modern Family (Ella and Jaden Hiller) have been locked away with their lawyers for months in an effort to negotiate a higher salary for next season. But apparently they were demanding too much, and after flipping the conference table over, they stormed out. And that's why Modern Family has to recast Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitchell's (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) daughter.
We are totally kidding, of course—as far as we know those girls and their parents are not divas—but there is a recast in the works. So what's the deal?

ReplyDeleteCould it be because they're starting preschool and won't have time? Or because there's a bit more acting in the works for Lily and the producers fear they won't cut it?
I actually think it's a good move. While the girls were really cute and adorable. They lacked onscreen charisma. You never heard a peep/babble out of them and they barely cracked a smile in all the episodes I've seen them in. I mean on know they're babies/toddlers but it's a TV show, and like the Full House days, you sometimes need a baby scene stealer and they weren't really a good fit for that kind of thing IMO.
ReplyDeleteI think they are just wanting to have Lily start to do some talking, plus the current Lily, while adorable, is very emotionless. lol I can understand the reasoning behind the switch.
