Tony Award winner Idina Menzel is in final negotiations to return to Fox’s musical dramedy Glee in the upcoming third season for a major arc that could span as many as 10 to 12 episodes.
Let us hope they make it a very good arc, because if they can't make a season that represents half a year, I want really good plots (unlike last year, where only Kurt's arc was worth anything), character growth, and real happenings before the kids are sent off.
Oh, I love Idina Menzel! So glad she's coming back, I was hoping for her return last year so we could have character development for Quinn, last season she regressed so much into her old pre-pregnancy character, I hope it was her way of trying to cope with giving up Beth, because there was no continuity there at all. I think besides telling Sam about it there was absolutely no mention of her pregnancy at all outside episode one last season, which was wrong, there needed to be more explored there.
Ryan said in another interview (I think it was linked to here on SpoilerTV as well), that we will see both her fathers in Season 3. He said that he never planned on bringing them to the show, that he actually rather did not want to do it, but that it just somehow happened (guess that means "the writing staff found a way to include them and give them a good story arc"). I think that interview was from sometime around the beginning of june / mid-june.
And now these news ... so I'm thinking we might even see all three of Rachel's parents together at some point?
Can't wait for the story. I hope it'll be good. I hope it will not include any make-out sessions with Will. I hope that it won't deal with her trying to find out how to be an actual mom to Rachel. Yah. That's about it.
just jumped up so high my head almost hit the ceiling =) so excited for this i was hoping we'd see her again last season, i hope this also means a storyline for Quinn & Puck
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I love this. I love Glee. I love Rachel's mom. I love Idina Menzel
ReplyDeleteI hope it's the Beth story. A reason for Puck and Quinn to reconnect.

ReplyDeleteNo offense, but do people care about the Tony Awards anymore? I rarely ever hear about it.
ReplyDeleteI would like to see Rachel's dads before she leaves the show!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, that is so great. Hopefully that will be about Beth, but they won´t forget her relationship to Rachel.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for this! Maybe it'll further both the Rachel storyline and the Quinn/Puck/Beth storyline.

With Lea Michelle gone after this season it was now or never for something like this, yet while I'm not surprised I am glad Menzel is back.
