Random, Ive just remembered my theory. The woman Barney is marrying is Nora, Barney ends up standing her up to get back together with Robin, and Ted meets "The mother" at Barney's wedding, 'the mother' being Nora.
Oh my, again with Barney and Robin. He is uncle Barney because his sister is married to Ted. She is aunt Robin because she is married to Barney. Can that not be more clear? This is not Usual Suspects or Lost, people, it`s just sitcom. If you like the characters and jokes, watch and enjoy, there is no reason to invent mysteries.
Or..the more popular theory...that Ted meets Barney's half-sister at Barney's wedding and they hook up. Remember Jerome said that his daughter was off at college...which mean she could have been in the econ class that Ted had his first day at and could have been living with Cindy in the city. And that would make Robin: Aunt Robin as just the same way that Lily and Marshall are Aunt Lily and Uncle Marshall...as they are best friends with Ted and thinks of them like family. Much as I am Uncle Tim to my best friend's kids.
Oh gosh, sorry, but I'd hate that. We already had a failed wedding with Ted/Stella in season four. And remember that the Mother was in the Economy class Ted accidentally taught. Nora is a journalist like Robin and certainly not studying anything anymore. I don't think she could possibly be the Mother (plus if she does date Barney next season, Ted would obviously meet her at some point BEFORE the wedding).
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Aly will be done filming American Reunion by that time.
I hope we'll get something solid about the mother.
ReplyDeleteI REALLY hope that Barney isn't marrying Robin. For a show that gives us surprise after surprise, that would be too obvious.
ReplyDeleteWe will revolt if it isn't Robin. We'd all be furious if it's some random woman or Nora. Barney/Robin all the freaking way.
ReplyDeleteih ope it's barney's wedding... and possibly with robin.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you! Revolt all the way!
ReplyDeleteI need this now
ReplyDeleteLegen...wait for it... :p
